So I made it!! After a slightly delayed red-eye flight, I emerged blearily into the Buenos Aires airport and was picked up by Laura, a friendly woman who works at the youth hostel where I´m staying. The drive in from the airport was surreal: hot and hazy, lots of tall green trees interspersed with concrete towers. My hostel is in an area of town called San Telmo, and I haven´t quite figured out what type of neighbourhood it is, partly because I am too tired to figure anything out right now... and partly because I need to go on a big wander to get a sense of the place.
