been there, felt that Hi Trisha,
Les Buford (the dad, not the son) here, I am so happy for you to have this opportunity. I envy you. There is something special about that place. When I am there, I feel so close to the Boss. The people there are so hungry for his blessings. Cheryl will be lifting you up. Please put me on your emailing list, and keep us informed so we can support you in this way.
I know that you will never forget, or regret this time, and that you will experience His love in the strongest way. You may be separated from your family and friends back here for this time, but this is going to cause you to know a closeness to Him like never before!!
I just thought of a saying that you may need:
Without Fayth it is impossible to please Him, For he that comes to G must beleive that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
Blessings! Be happy, and know that love is showering down on you!!!
Les
congrats I think it is amazing...what you are doing..where you are going...and i'm gonna be praynig for patience..thats amazing!! thanks for the blogs, they are a joy to read
here you are! Hey Trisha, it's good to see and hear from you. I was wondering where people were getting all this info about and here it is. I am glad you are doing well you are thought of and prayed for. Live it up in China and your pictures are great. Love ya!
wow, these people are impressed with you, they take you to tea, offer you a husband, you are doing good for a foreigner. Your pictures are beautiful by the way. Keep posting i feel more connected. love you.
Hello adventurous sister, i am jelouse, you are living your dreams and doing it in style. The place is "off the chain", (new lingo i learned in school, just kidding) small but JUST right for you. i send my love.
earrings so i passed this girl on the way out of the humanities building and she had your white earrings (the hoops with the white roses) and i just had to start running toward gambrel b/c i was crying. i miss you but even more i think i am happy that you are having an adventure and EVEN more i evny it. i hate school right now. it seems really pointless and i dont have a teacher that seems to really like me. its like i can't figure out how to make a good impression on any of them and i just dont like that. i am ready to drop it all and head to Australia. i dream about it. if i didn't have life scholarship i would have quit yesterday and been on a plane right now.
anyways. glad you are seeing the sights and that you were able to meet up with Shan and talk some english...this whole "the boss" reference makes it hard to take what you are talking abotu in a serious light b/c i giggle everytime i read it.
love you.
p.s. you don't have to worry about like being in China when i announce my engagment or anything b/c Brian is sorta already out of the picture ( i knwo you were losing sleep over it . lol. )
later kid.

unbelievable! Your pictures keep getting better and better. The juxtaposition of the girl in red through the red columns says it all. I am enthralled by the one piece concrete monolith- please explain its use again? I am unclear on the sliding into wells in the winter deal. Don't get spoiled about having all this free time. I hope your school duties will not interfere with your passion for absorbing the chinese culture. -Dad
i would take them to coffee Trisha! You're in China! I like this blog of yours, it allows me to keep up with you right through my inbox. It sounds like you're doing well and adapting. I'm glad. I can imagine being in a foreign country by yourself is overwhelming. I mean, heck, I'm nervous about making a 9 hour roadtrip by myself! Your presence is missed, my dear. Be good! Oh and where would you take these lovely chinese ladies for coffee??
Better Homes & Gardens it is! Yeah, it looks familiar. Our bathroom was pretty big, so most of it stayed dry. I got a squeegee (like a window scraper) to dry the floor after every shower--worked pretty well.
Oh My Gosh!! I can't believe that you're actually there! Your apartment is really cute - I think the two of you have a lot in common... So how long do we have to wait to see the rest of China?
It's so cool to see where you're living! That bathroom is something else! I love your little place, it's perfect - you are living such an adventure right now - I'm soo excited for you. Keep posting, it makes you seem not so far away.
Aww Trish - I miss you. I hope you're learning the language and not getting frustrated. Constantly remember all the things we asked for you!!! I love you, Lou
Wish I could have been there, Sweetie! Have a great time in China; I can't wait to see China through your eyes. I'm looking forward to how beautiful you can make Arkansas look through photographs when you get back.
Thot you said you couldn't blog!! This is great! and it's so you! I read you're Zanga blog, thinking, "I wonder what Trisha's doing" I was disappointed cuz there was 1 short blog, then "I can't do this, so bye".
This is fascinating, and even makes plain, old Columbia look fabulous! I loved the Congaree pics--I went there once on a school field trip. Can't wait to see China pics on here!!
Not enough! Only two pictures? Not enough! I want more. The river picture is marvelous. The flower picture could show so much more (panned to the right-drop the path.)
