Hello I've really enjoyed reading of your travels so far. Glad to hear that all is well and that you are having such an amazing adventure! One thing in common - it is just as wet back in Kelso! St James's fair had to be cancelled this w/e, due to weather!
Enjoy the challenges and rewards of your experiences and take care of each other. God bless, Kaytexx
Hello Eleanor and Philip. What a wonderfully exciting time you re having - and a busy one as well. You are almost getting as much rain as we are!! Hope Katie continues to make good progress. We are in US now for one month look forward to hearing your exploits on our return. Love to both. H and J
Hi, Alastair You were right! The rain stopped today and we have seen a few hours of sunshine. We have just returned from a long walk up the hill to Delo but we did not quite make the top before becoming enveloped in mist. We will return sometime soon when the monsoon passes. In the meantime we are enjoying a nice cup of Darjeeling and putting our feet up before we start round 3 next week. All the best, Philip and Eleanor
Your continuing adventures Just catching up with you. Really enjoying everything you have to say and you sound as if you are coping with all the little hiccups which you meet. But then I would expect no less. I note the comment about head torches - it might be something for me to invest in for my next trip to Asia. I am impressed how well you are coping with the local food. And, remember, the rain has to stop sometime! Hope Katie is continuing to improve. Give her my love next time you are speaking with her. Looking forward to the next instalment. Cheers. Alastair
Good evening Lauder and Gala Thanks for your comments. We are having a great time with plenty to keep us busy. We have been talking to a number of people here and will come up with a scheme to spend the FCC funds and let you know shortly. Love to you both from a very wet Kalimpong.
Good evening, Ednam Thanks for thinking about us. We are having a great time as well as working quite a lot of the time. Pleased to say that Katie got home on Sunday and is feeling much better. A great relief. Guy goes offshore tomorrow so things may be getting back to normal, Hope you are both well. Love from a very wet Kalimpong.
Good evening, Kelso Thanks for your comments, wishes and prayers. We are indeed having an amazing experience. I have had a chance to review several local beers and can tell you that Kingfisher Extra is the best; not at all like the UK version. The Kilyani is okay and I refuse to drink Carlsberg. After all you can get that in the Black Swan! All the best from rainy Kalimpong.
Nice to hear from you We're delighted that you like the blog. Just out of interest who and where are you and when were you in Darjeeling? This info might help us when we meet Mrs Norburg.
Helen and Denise; sounds amazing! Love reading your blog-it all sounds such a life changing, fantastic (challenging) experience! For us to provide a 'story book corner' would be an honor..lets talk about the possibilities more soon? We'd love for 'our project' to develop while your there-having read your journal with a big lump in the throat!! We are in awe of what your both are doing-we will keep reading and being inspired as your trip progresses..Our carers send you both their best wishes and good luck too- Take Care x
Greetings from Ednam Hello Eleanor and Philip - what a busy and interesting time you are having - sounds just fabulous. Hope Katy is doing ok now. Thinking about you all. Love John and Helen
It's just as wet in Scotland Delighted to read that things have started so well and I'm really enjoying the blog. Keep it up (if you have enough time - it sounds as if you might be pretty busy one way or another). I thought you might be interested to know that we have been getting monsoon like conditions over here. Perhaps it is in sympathy! Heavy rain, floods, blocked roads - just another Scottish summer!
Thinking about you. Hey both. we are both glad to hear that you are continuing to have a good time. sounds like you have got a lot to do but we are sure you will continue to rise to the challange!
