Good Spirits Hey Buddy,
I want to thank you for taking the time in sending these updates from time to time. It almost feels as though I am there as well...almost!!
Stay healthy, and safe my friend!
R&R in Europe? Oh sure...you get to see Reims and Apledoorn and once again I get Regina and Moose Jaw. Something wrong here. Again, great to hear from you .... take care and I look forward to meeting up with you on your return to S'toon to hear the rest of the stories.
'The'...EuroTrip!! Hey Pat good to see this post... up and running again...Heh...
I hate middle seats and think they should actually be "abolished", if not then they should be protested! Remind me to show you a few pointers on how to really annoy people so you can get some elbow rest/space.
Now what was it you were trying to insinuate re traffic in Istanbul? I didn't get it... (riiiiight!)
Very romantic last sentence there, my friend... or brave attempt at a tear jerker? (I'm collecting a bunch of star quality points from you on all these comments I'll be posting for sure!!! If I'm lucky pay back will be possible when we get to do that bike trip "up north"!)
Looking forward to the next, you have a safe one out there, Bro!!
Great Trip Hello Pat, thx for this gr8 report. Makes me homesick again. The countdown is on for Sept27. Sorry for you experience with the Yanks, the gr8 liberators of the suppressed world. (Where they cops ???)
We have company from Germany right now. An ex-student of mine from '77, back then I taught him to be a cop and have never ever seen him again till last SAT.
There were a few very late nights outside on the deck in front of the fire.
Stay in touch
Wolfgang
MIA Hi Pat,
Good to hear from you and see that everythnig is going well. I thought you were lost in a sandstorm as hadn't heard from you in a while. Stay safe and keep up the good work!
Right now, I am living vicariously through you- it sounds like quite the adventure so far. Are their decent gyms there so you can catch a quick workout? Two questions (ironically both about McDonald's); what is a McRoyale burger exactly, and why is the golden arches still using those crappy styrofoam burger containers?? Keep up the good work keep posting the great travel blog and stay safe.
What an adventure!! Hey Pat. It sounds as if everything is going rather swimmingly so far. Admin NCO, aka "boss of many things".....look at you. Seriously though, you are well organized and intelligent - a solid choice for the position. Even more coincidental is the fact that your superior is a retired Regina officer.
Blog HiPat, Good to see you still have that dry humour that we so love! Thanks for including me in your circle of "bloggies" and keep the stories coming! P.S. stay safe!!
Your freedom 55 still payed up?? Neat pics. Finally figurred out how to access your blogs. I envy you, as I haven't decided if the taliban is worse than the "smurfs" we encountered at V2010. Cheers!
Proud of you Patrick!! :) Pat...Thanks very much for including me in your blog. Way to go on your assignment! You made me LOL with your Rotten Ronnie's comment. (Do they have McTaboulie?) I enjoyed seeing the photos as well. I have never been to that part of the world and it's safe to assume I never will be, so thanks for sharing its views. I have been off work for 2 months b/c I had my left knee replaced. I had scope surgery on it last year that was a failure. Hopefully this will work. I want to ride my Suzuki again (haven't in 2 years). Are there many bikes over there? TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! Looking forward to your next blog. Richy
Good to hear from you. I rode a camel once in Petra, Jordan...it hurt like hell and I couldn't get the smell off me for days!! Glad to hear everything is going well for you. Great blog. Stay safe.
Pretty Cool Looks like you are having a once in a lifetime experience. Puts my trip to the Olympics to shame. Keep the blogs c9oming and keep your head down.
Kandahar at last! I was just thinking that I haven't heard from Pat for awhile, so great timing. Good to hear from you and keep yourself busy. Tell me...have you finally found the place that makes Regina look "pretty"?
I love it Hello Pat, I really love the "Fire safety reservoir." The chairs around must be for the ever present fire fighters just in case a fire breaks out and they have to be ready. I can see you volunteer for this job :-)
