Years Fly By I have started back with learning Japanese and slowly the little grey cells they start to bring the language flooding back. So too with the memories and fondness. Hope you are both well.

The commercial, red suit and presents kind, including two performances of Jingle Bells in Chinese. Hope you are enjoying the festive season. Back on the same continent soon. Lots of love!

Each hairdresser has own glass cubicle overlooking main drag, complete with comfy chairs for precut consultation.
Lots of chats Looking forward to some long chats about living in foreign cultures, and readjusting on our return. My visa runs out on 22 January,so will be home then? How about you? We can do afew photos and lots of stories.
I was waiting for the ABC to come - as usual summizes a foreign experience so well. Jeez, sounds so extremely regimented.
Looking forward to catching up when you get back.
But surely..... Surely you would have met pomelos in Israel many decades ago, no?
Certainly all the pomelos in Austria were imported from Israel!
Pretty amazing things, aren't they, and they provide hours of entertainment and taste.
In Israel No memory of pomelos is Israel. We picked oranges, tomatoes and flowers for the European market, and milked sheep to make cheese for the local market. I remember learning to eat avocados and falafel in Israel.
well done but You don't show how thick the peel is!!!! I thought you were spatially aware? Because you don't like getting your hands dirty, maybe you didn't notice!!! Look forward to sharing pomelos
Thickness The peel is as thick as regular thongs, the pith stays with the membrane, and the pulp is the consistency of set jelly, so you don't get very messy at all. Adds to the enjoyment - non messy citrus.
Thanks Enjoying your entries and admiring your courage to leave your comfort zone. Thanks for the education and entertainment.
Cheers from Tonto Valley
5 Star Comfort Hey Tonto Roaders, While you gals have a magnificent view of kangaroos and gum trees, I am enjoying Shanghai skyline from 5 Star Hotel. Not in the same league, I know, as any sane person would swap views. Much love to you both.
Wisconsin, 1979, my final teaching practicum in a schoolyard thick with snow. Running away to Italy, when teaching in Whyalla got too much. Milking sheep in Israel, midnight shift turtle care in Costa Rica, head hunted for China. The pay has never been great, but the memories. Back to Himeji for another Japanese adventure.
