Nature at its best Looks like a great plan for your month. I agree you never want to rush through these things. Lots of great hiking. We would love to see the part of the world.
Congrats Congratulations on your engagement to Seda. Happy Days! I have posted this in the "Streetscapes" thread in the Photography Forum. What a happy pic!.
Eyes wide open An upper echelon VIP introduction to China is a good way to start John and you can now say "been there done that." You have now hopefully seen enough of the diversity of 5,000 years of civilisation in your short visit to intrigue the travel taste buds to explore China. I have travelled through 16 provinces socialising with generals to rickshaw drivers and have only touched the surface. I hope you are motivated to return to China to see what you can discover.
Great blogging Hi John, I just wanted to say I'm really enjoying reading your blogs. I love the in depth studies you do of the places you go to. My wife and I are planning to end our current travels in Peru next year and this was the perfect inspiration.
thanks That's great! Yeah, sometimes I include the information so I don't forget it in a year or so but I'm so glad when others pick up some ideas. You will love Peru! Happy travels!
Iceland One of my favorite places on earth!! You've captured the amazing scenery in your camera. Glad you finally made it to Iceland...the land of fire and ice.
thankyou Many thanks for sharing your experiences in Grenada ...one of my all time favourite places. I have not made it over to Carriacou but having read your blog and seen the great pics I will do next time .. Best wishes, Annette
Serch information Hello John, I like your photos. I practice also photography of nature. Diamondra was also our guide at Ranomafana in 2003 and we return to this reserve in few weeks, and I would like to contact him to know if he is free to guide us again. Please, do you have some telephone number or any adress? Excuse me if my english is not so good. I realy thank you for advance for all you could do for me in this situation. If you give me your e-mail, if you are interested, I can send you some photos of birds or insects, etc of Madagascar. Goog by.
madagascar visit Hi Jean-Michel,
Sorry that I haven't been on here for a while and missed you. No, I don't think that I have contact information for Diamondra. You have probably already gone on your trip but I would recommend just asking for him when you go. I'm jealous of your return trip - hope you have/had fun!
I NEED SOME HELP Can you tell me if the port is far from the old town? I mean, is it easy to go walking from the ferry to the old town? Do you remember how much you paid for the tickets? I am asking you these questions because I know some tours are very expensive (for me) and maybe I could do it on my own. Thank you so much. Hugs from Argentina.
Estonia Hi from Peru Graciela :-). Nice going to your futbol team the other day - I was cheering for them!
You can easily walk from the port in Tallinn to the old town, no problem. I think the ferry tix were approx 25-30 euros. The prices differ a little between the companies but you should see the comparison when you google 'ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn'.
biking Yeah, I think so. They had some specially designed biking trails going down the coast from Haapsalu. But, I can't really comment on other areas.
Very interesting blog Very useful tips for traveling, transportation and food! Some of the shots look so familiar to me! I like the perspective of the photos. Very well balanced.
I've been fortunate enough to travel to some amazing places these past years and so I figured I should share a few photos. At some point I would love to go back and add more details in the text . . . just never enough time. Enjoy!
