Airplane flights Matt,
I used to fly one of those 12 seat planes (if someone sat on the toilet) that Dow owned between Baton Rouge and Freeport, TX. Once we were coming into Baton Rouge during a thunderstorm. The pilot had to steer around the storm cells visually because the radar on the plane was all RED indicating severe activity. Quite a bumpy ride.
We talked to Kathryn, Paul, and my mother this week. All is well. Kathryn and Stefan are going to Montreal at Easter to look for places for 2007 wedding and they are going to Amsterdam in May. All is well at home. I am in St. Louis and going to Louisville tonight then home on Wednesday.

Keep it up! Please keep up the detailed blog entries. Larry and I enjoy reading yours and Jill's and print them all out. You will be able to relive all your adventures when you read them at the journey's end.
Matt, Sara and Jill,
This portion of the trip seems to have more interesting wildlife to see. Too bad Sara didn't see the Rhea - seems hard to miss. A larger anacondor would have been nice, but the birds and howler monkeys seem to have made up for the other animals. You have not mentioned the weather very much. Hope it is pleasant. It is in the 30's and sunny here this weekend. Still not much snow this winter. We went to the local Mexican restaurant last night with a marioche (sp?) band last night. Update us as often as possible.
Love, Dad
Wow! Thanks for not telling me about the bike trip until it was over. It sounds like a real experience, but a risky one. I am still waiting to hear about the anaconda. I know you are making memories that will last a lifetime. Love, Mom
Adventures galore Matt, Sara, and Jill
Sounds like a lot of fun seeing dolphins, crocks, etc, exotic birds. How many birds did Sara identify. I saw an owl in the woods today along with a pilieated woodpecker. Nothing very exciting here. Just working on bookcases for the den. Keep in touch.
Love, John
A nice mix Matt and Sara,
You're doing a great job adding a little history, geography and culture along with your personal experiences and observations. My only tip would be more paragraphs. I'm enjoying the entries and would read them no matter what form they are in since they are written by my favorite travelers. Keep on writing!!! We hope all is well with all three of you.
Love, Mom
a little jack handy advice next time you should carry a fake wallet with a rattlesnake in it -- that will teach them!
great entries (and pics) Matt and Sarah! I wonder how Aaron is going to take it when I come up with a trip of my own :)
Enjoyed your travel adventures! Hi! I've just discovered your blog through Travelblogs.org. Your pictures and travel stories make me want to visit Bolivia! Thanks for sharing -- this is a great way to learn about a place I dream of visiting someday!
