Old-fashioned language We're racking our brains for the things people said to us in shops and hotels, when we used to giggle and say my Gran used to say that! Has floated out of our brains now in Oz! But generally, people speak very proper and varied English and use loads of expressions, which we seem to be losing the nack of in England. Makes the speak sound a little archaic. and they call shops proper names like drapers, ironmongers etc.
trys to think of a novel take on "looks amazing!" in the title looks amazing
give us an example of a "quaint NZ expression" that we dont use any more :)
Nice to hear from you again You guys make us look bad, we are 3 months behind in posting blog entries and we seem to be only a few steps behind you in travels right now. We were just in Puno - Lago Titicaca. We are now in Aeriquipa. Its Nov 13 today, we head to Colca Canyon then back to Lima, then Mexico - Toronto- Vancouver then home for Christmas. Its always nice to hear about your adventures. Stay healthy and safe.
cheers Bill and Joanne

It all looks spectacular - keep the news coming! Photos look fantastic and it sounds like you're having a great time. It's really a pleasure to read this stuff as the weather and nights close in here in the UK. Just stop making me jealous!
mmmm caiparinha! mmmmm lush lush lush I LOVE caipirinhas! One of my fave cocktails : ) and yes i concur with Mark - it is a great egret, that big white bird....keepn on having fun and blogging! Reading it's almost as good as being on holiday! well,.. almost ; ) xx
lovely Lima : ) soooo glad you liked Lima, I loved it! Did you see the catacombs with all the bones laid out? I nearly fainted in there due to air filled with dried bones, death, and a raging hangover! Pisco sours rule too - even though they are made with raw egg ; ) xx BTW I had no idea inka cola was made by coca cola - gutted, I even bought the T shirt!! So glad I charity shopped it last week....

Both types can be very aggressive potentially - did you get any photos? How big were they? Were you snorkelling or diving? Glad you loved the galapagos, shame you were sick M : ( am gona read on.... xx

Another great entry Love the buses, we have been lucky getting some ideal seating on the buses so far, being a freak of nature these buses are intimidating.
Bus on !!!
Hola Great post guys, we really enjoyed the cruise and the company we had during our time in the Galapagos. Safe travels and we will keep looking for more updates of your travels.

Kirsty - We have more photos of crabs that look far more exotic coming up on our Galapagos post (we should get around to writing it this week) - keep reading!
