Hi all (we are back in Engilish speaking country) Just a quick post to let you all know that we are alive and well. Internet in Guatamala was dodgy at best. We have had a really great time though when able we will get some photos up. After terry winging and whining for a couple of days (after mearly losing about 90% of his bodily fluids into the local sewage system) we made it through to Antigua, A beautiful city that it would be very easy to fall in love with, far more art, culture, etc. Stumbled up the volcano which was strangely reminimcent of the ones at home although larger. Hola again, Have made it to Panajachal in Guatamala. Interesting day ourfirst land boarder crossing all went very smoothly. Group decission not to do the chicken buses much to our relief so up graded to a minibus. Really noticing the differences between Mexico and Guatamala very different landscape and people. For those of you at work (see I do think of you all) I am like a giant here no longer feel like I am in a hole. Today we are going to do a walk around the town this morning and a boat trip across the lake this afternoon. Once again we are going to try to post some pickies.... read more

Hola todos donde San Chistobal del las Casas, Having a great time, we are traveling with a group of 15 people in total 3 from Australia and the rest from the UK. some of them will leave us when we get to to Antigua. The past few day we spent going to Palenque after traveling there we went to the temple which is still in the processs of being excavated. There is a photo then went to the museum a walk through the bush and a swim at a river in the afternoon. Have heard howler monkeys (in the middle of the night and they do howl) have seen a scorpion have the photos and stayed two nights in the jungle. Hola todos, Just about to leave Merdia for Palenque (spelt wrong). Again this is a short post. Have been to Chichen itza for a rushed tour through the temple in thunder and lightening - quiet impressive. Then on to Merida - I was not so well the next day but Terry went off to the Cenote great photos. Last night had a great dinner and there was a street festival which was great. hola todos (hello all) Just to let you know we made mexico safe and well although extremely tired. Have had a good sleep and are up exploring this morning will be in the pool this afternoon. We are just about to start our journey - are very excited, but not looking forward to the long flight from Sydney to Dallas. However we are looking forward to some warm weather away from winter. Hopefully in a couple of days there will be photo's by the pool... read more
