Hi all (we are back in Engilish speaking country) Just a quick post to let you all know that we are alive and well. Internet in Guatamala was dodgy at best. We have had a really great time though when able we will get some photos up. After terry winging and whining for a couple of days (after mearly losing about 90% of his bodily fluids into the local sewage system) we made it through to Antigua, A beautiful city that it would be very easy to fall in love with, far more art, culture, etc. Stumbled up the volcano which was strangely reminimcent of the ones at home although larger. Hola todos donde San Chistobal del las Casas, Having a great time, we are traveling with a group of 15 people in total 3 from Australia and the rest from the UK. some of them will leave us when we get to to Antigua. The past few day we spent going to Palenque after traveling there we went to the temple which is still in the processs of being excavated. There is a photo then went to the museum a walk through the bush and a swim at a river in the afternoon. Have heard howler monkeys (in the middle of the night and they do howl) have seen a scorpion have the photos and stayed two nights in the jungle. We are just about to start our journey - are very excited, but not looking forward to the long flight from Sydney to Dallas. However we are looking forward to some warm weather away from winter. Hopefully in a couple of days there will be photo's by the pool... read more
