So after a five hour delay in San Francisco, we finally got here to Beijing and moved in with our host families. My host family pretty much rules. My host dad is this tiny, skinny little man who speaks six words of English (hello, Karly, sit down, hot, and sofa), and giggles a lot. My host mom is very happy and teaches me how to say words for everything we pass (chair, wind, bus, street)...too bad I can't remember it all (two or three words a day if I'm lucky). They are all worried that I don't eat enough and I will be "too skinny" like my host dad. I also have a host sister, Lai Ke, who is my age and goes to my school, BNU High School # 2.
