21 August, Monday... Our little bus pulled into Saigon (apparantly how the locals still refer to it although Thom did manage to offend someone) sometime between 5 and 6 this morning. Did the usual runaround of hotels before picking one because we got fed up and wanted a shower. Went to the market and started haggling over a fake Rolex, is $10 too much?, but didn't buy in the end. Food in a restaurant Bill Clinton has eaten in (pretty big spending about 70p for mine) and a wlk to Notre Dame cathedral. But I'm not so impressed with churches these days, or the colonial post office next door.
