so sad hi jess... its so sad for that poor boy. you feel like "what can you do," but think of what your "learner" believes you did. I'm proud to be your friend! xoxo
Social Work That Mom's a wuss and she should grab the kid and run..... oh, wait, there's nowhere to run to, is there? Sounds like you did a good job. Now go find the other girl and get two-for-two. L, J
social work Hey there, Jess!
Isn't it amazing that your experience as a social worker will always help someone? It's something you will always use, because you are a true nurturer. You love to help people. I loved your gay/lesbian protest march. You just got right in there with them with your support!
So proud of you!
Love, Michelle R
Wow, Jess. Sounds like a rough week. I am amazed by the difference you are making in this community - not only through your day job, but through the concern and kindness you demonstrate outside of school hours. You and your learners are in our hearts and prayers. Big hugs to all of you! Love, Laur
glad to be in touch hi jess I have finally gotten a new blog i am so glad to see how great things are and all is well here so keep making your memories and keep the blogs coming love ya lynne
amazing so amazing... it is unbelievable that someone built that hut, let alone lives in it! keep the blogs coming and keep enjoying every moment of this wonderful experience!!
Hope it wa happy anyway Your picture of the House of Cans was fascinating to both me and to Alex. You remember him, my grandson. I'm currently in Margate and we're playing duesling computers and I had to show it to him. He's fascinated. And I continue to be fascinated by your tales of adventure. What an experience. Enjoy and enjoy. L, J
Hello Hey I've been wondering where you've been! I like the house of cans, it reminds me of the art on south street. If it makes you feel better on the 4th of July it rained here, so no big outdoor bbq for me. Along with your students there is probobly a lot of Americans who don't know why we celebrate July 4th. Keep having fun!

Hi Wess! Sounds like you are doing amazingly! I finished the school year this week and finally could catch up on your journal entries. I have to say you are a total inspiration. I've never met someone with all of your incentive, drive, acceptance, motivation and compassion. I am so proud of you and honored to be your (old) friend! :-)
Hmmm I'm starting to think these stories are made up, the pictures are from the National Geographic website, your phone number is a prepaid cell phone you borrowed, and you're actually sipping Pina Colada's on the beach at the Four Seasons.
Hmmmm.
painting I think the handprint idea is cute! I would give you some painting tips but my husband has banned me from painting. Apparently I painted the shower curtain or something. I miss you!
Jess....what a great photographer you are! You could of saved my parents a lot of money if you would have volunteered to take the pix at my wedding ;). Ha ha! xoxoxo
Blue Balls HA HA! I saw those electric blue balls last year on the safari with your dad...we couldnt stop laughing. In all seriousness, I am glad you are feeling well. I tried to get together with you but we just didnt overlap enough in Philly! I cant wait to see you on your return. Much love to you cousin...
monkey balls I love your monkey story! When I went to Costa Rica there were monkeys all over the place and they had the biggest ballss I have ever seen, they looked like they should be on an elephant. They were white not blue. I was amazed that they didn't get caught on braches when they jumped in the trees.
I am glad you had a nice time on your vacation. Andi's twins are the cutest I am happy that they are all doing well.
too bad my connections in Big Pharma can't hook you up with the right meds. Sorry to hear you were feeling sick. But at least it passed and you were well cared for!!!
Jess...so great catching up with you, even if it was just on the phone, while you were home! I felt like you never left.
Your pictures of the bridge and waterfall look like posters. They're beautiful!!! Sorry to hear about your troubles getting home. The important thing is that your safe and you got to spend sometime with your family...even if it was too short. Enjoy yourself! Love and miss ya!!!
Miss you :( I wrote on my calender that you were going to be home, but totally forgot to call you! I'm so sorry that we weren't able to get together. I'm sure you were really busy anyway. The pictures are awesome as usual, and the twins are sooo cute! I hope you enjoyed your trip home (although the end didn't sound too fun) and have a wonderful couple of months left in Africa!
I am about to begin my year in Namibia through WorldTeach...I am getting VERY excited and VERY nervous!
I am going to try to keep this updated throughout the year so hopefully I can keep in touch with everyone :)... full info
