ENGLISH Mexico City. What a disappointment! The largest city on earth, instead of being a living hell choked in traffic fumes, was a revelation, more or less. Chapultepec Park Big and green, great lake, great castle with a great view over the city, incredible murals by an guy called Siqueiros. The local delicacies on sale in the park weren't bad either: - Tlayudas: blue corn tortillas smothered in beans, cheese, coriander and chilli. - Chitos: semi-dried donkey meat rolled in red chilli and served with lime. - Chicharron platters: avocado, tomato, cream cheese and... chilli served on an edible plate made of hard fried pig skin. (We didn't eat this) All this alongside tamarind sweets, giant cups of pineapple, orange and other fruits. Yummmmmmmmm! Xochmilco There were floating gardens here, but we didn't actually see them.
