We miss you! Hey Jonathan. I have been trying to get on here for weeks with no luck, but today I finally was able to view your pics and read your blog. Its so nice to be able to experience a bit of your trip with you. Looks like you are having a wonderful time! All those trips you made across campus taking deposits and making copies were just getting you ready for the campus at the University of Ghana. ;-)
Isaiah and I are departing for Mexico March 16th for a short trip. We are both excited! Take care and we miss you lots.
Excited for you! Hello Jonathan. This is Ma Abenaa Ghartey-Tagoe. I love your blogs! Keep up with the updates and pictures. You make things so vivid! As I read your blogs, the expression we always say comes to mind -- "Oh Ghana! You have to love it!" Your descriptions are so dead on that I was laughing so hard and missing the warmth and the quirks of the country and people. Have you had a chance to meet Kojo Prempeh yet? I am so happy that you are having this experience. I've always said your family is from Ghana and to know that you are there just warms my heart! We continue to lift you up in prayer. As we say in Twi, Nyame nhyira wo! Me de Nyame gya wo! Your homework from me is to translate the sentences from Twi into English. :)
Photos Good stuff JGR! Make sure you have folks take pictures of you on your camera...yeah i know you might think that you are inconveniencing people, but you're not. Take it from an old pro, you WILL want heaps of photos, but even more, you will want photos of yourself. Upon return to the States you will want to share your stories + pics with everyone who will listen and more than anything else, they will want to see YOU. So Jon, give the people what they want! Love ya-lee
P.S. find a home church or bible study group too
I miss ya buddy! So a couple things:
1. I'm sorry that i haven't really put any pictures up on here, it's because my small camera broke and my camcorder takes blurry close pictures.
2. I'm so glad to hear and see that you are having a ton of fun, and its not even close to being over yet!
3. You missed Hike-3 when you were labeling silly, although i'm sure that at least one of the two comments before mine have said that.
4. I'm having a great time, I'm going to go get a camera today so get excited to see some cool stuff.
Hey J.Riv, love you! miss you!
Evan and i were out on a driving lesson adventure and i was proving i could drive on the highway for more then the stretch between campus and wal-mart so we went to Lebo! On the way back i saw Badgar creek!!!!!!!!
okay thats all, love you! miss you!
Frosty, yes it is Jon, so good to 'hear' about your travels. It sounds like you are making good use of your opportunities as they come along. The time will pass so fast for you. Praying for your safety and chances to shine for the King.
Yay Johnny! That Jungle looks awesome! and it sounds like you are having a fun and partying! That is what all students studying abroad should do! I look forward to all your posts, but remember to never let posting on this board come between you and a good time!

Awesome! Hey Johnny! Awesome pictures! Ghana is gorgeous! Miss you here in ESU. By the way Jordan didn't get another roommate, which I certainly like, but it's stilly not quite the same without you! have fun and I look forward to reading about your adventures as they progress!
JOHNNY Hey buddy, Sounds like a blast I have really enjoyed reading through all your entry's I can't wait to hear more about it. Sounds like it was everything and more that you wanted.
Kevin
ahh. . . pictures the sights are so serene. what an experience. now i could have done fine without seeing the red and blue shirt--is that how you spell emporia?
WoW! Hey Jon,
Just checking my email and up pops your update! All I could say was, Yeah!!!! Great pictures so far. Thanks for letting us look over your shoulder for a view!
love you much,
MoM and D.A.D.
HI JON!! Wow buddy it sounds like you are having a blast. I'm so jealous of you right now haha. Hope all continues to go well and i'll keep reading your entries with excitement :)
hey! i read your most recent blog before this one... but about the hammock, you can definitely try your bartering skills to get one :)
glad to know you are having fun there!
Sounds fun! Sounds like Ghana is an amazing place to go! Accra sounds like fun! I would like to point out you had one small error... You see since you've been gone they cut away half of the country so now the ocean is a five mintue walk from the Emporia campus. I go there daily! As do most Kansans. Okay so that's a lie. I still haven't see ocean, but it sounds incredible! Be sure to keep practising that haggling ability, I'm sure you can use it even back in the states somewhere, like when buying a car! Remember it's winter so bundle up and stay warm :P

Wow! I am happy for you John, and pray that all that God has planned for you will come to pass in this great land you are currently in. Chase after Him hard and fast, and try to keep up with the blessings that He has in store for you.

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only the first page. That being said, you can bet I’m going to savor my first overseas experience for all it’s worth; as I study abroad at the University of Ghana. After all, adventure is the pursuit of life, so let the chase begin!... full info
