Our overnight train was slightly better in that we weren't located right next to the doors, so we both managed at least a little sleep although i wasn't feeling too well during the night which kept us up a little longer than planned. The border crossing was by far the strangest. We stopped a few hours in and some people got off the train, unsure what to do we asked a few people and were told to stay on the trian, then handed immigration forms for Singapore, which we filled out. ABout half an hour later another man came to collect our departure cards for Malaysia and we set off again.. so me thinking that was it until SIngapore went straight for more sleep..alas in about another half an hour we stopped again and had to
