I arrived in Quito last night at 6:45 and after going through customs, I was brought to my host family´s house... not before seeing a guy breathing fire. The mom is named Monika, a daughter named Tabatha, a son named Paul, a dog named Senorita Bon Bon, a grandmother named Ruth, two women from Australia and the UK, a girl named Jens, a girl named Katie, a maid (which I guess is very common her) named Paula, and the grandmothers maid named Maria. Maria and Ruth sometimes sleep at Monika´s house. I love it here already! Today we went to the supermarket where we bought a huge bag of blackberries (moras) for 4 dollars (they use US currency). We went to a little fair trade market where we bought vegetarian meat... they are being very accepting
