Your Trip
Hi folks, sounds like your having a great trip to date, hope it continues that way. Things are pretty much same old, same old here at the Ranch, only much damper, quite a bit of rain. Oregon Trip
Your trip sounds GREAT! Beautiful pictures. We are up at Whistler right now for 3 days and enjoying the beautiful setting and gorgeous weather. We walked for 2 1/2 hours yesterday and then enjoyed time at the pool and hot tub. Will do more walking and exploring today. Have a safe trip.

What someone has labeled as "Tug boat house" is actually the top two decks of a steam driven paddle wheeler from the early 1900's that was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway Co. to move people and goods on Kootenay Lake before roads and rails serviced the area.It was retired in the early 50's and other than what you see here was dismantled and salvaged for materials and parts. The bottom floor was added in the mid 80's after it had been a private residence for 30 yrs.

Beautiful!
You make me wish I could see all that too. But I rejoice that you can. You were in pastorates so many years and tied down from week to week, year after year. So you could never take such pleasant unhurried trips. You probably remember Johanna (Heinrichs) Cowie that attended Grace. Her hubby Bruce died this week or was it last wk. Pastor Randy led him to the Lord and that night he went into a coma. Died 2 or 3 days later. I told you I am flying the 6th to NV to see my brother Edwin. Be back on the 11th. Love and be safe. Seward and Homer were my favorite places for magnificant scenery. I am so glad that your weather was so good that you were able to experience it as we did. Tonight we had a wonderful BBQ at the clubhouse. Needless to say but the food was wonderful as usual! Missed you guys not being there but, oh well! Enjoying Your Blog.
We've enjoyed reading about your trip and only wish we had "Blog" when we did our North American trip back in 2000 - the pictures are great to see and we can picture you having an enormously good time - the pictues tell it all! We enjoyed the pictures & reading about Skagway, and yes, in the first week of September we ourselves will be a "Shipple" as we call in there on our Alaskan Cruise. Keep the photos coming!

Well, it's about time for another trip "Down Under". Sept 6 we leave for Australia and what Lorraine is billing as her "last trip home". This will be Dwain's fifth trip there to visit his in-laws and see that wonderfully beautiful and unique country. This is really our only big trip this year. An earlier trip in 2016 to Oregon was cut short by health problems. All that is well now and we are rarin' to go. We'll do our best to keep posting regular blogs and notes so you can enjoy our experiences and see the sights through Lorraine's photos.... full info
