Kids I could go off here...I've alway sensed there was untruth to many commercials of this sort and am not surprised (never sent money and you know how I like to help people); disappointed and think an inquiry would be in order to say the least. Will be looking forward to hearing that outcome. On a humorous note, I'll take 5 to replace the 3 I have(or is it 4). I'm busy with more patients, had an aspergers kid and treatment is successful/able to function in social setting now. I wonder if they have add/adhd/aspergers/autism over there? and if not why? and if they do what do they do? check out their med child care if it's possible. Oh what a delight it is to keep up with your trip...like your mom said...to not forget to tell us all when you get back but we can do that too! We miss your cute faces...many hugs for you two...xoxo...i love you, M
Bring them home, and they can sleep in, go to school and run in the woods with the goats and sheep!!!! So sad, I wonder what Christ would do if he visited this place!!!!!!!!!!!! A teacher of real love, and peace, he would not tolerate this - it makes me so sad that with all our 'advances' as humans we still sorely lack basic human decency and the ability to treat each person, especially our children and elders with respect and dignity. MOM
dorien-hello sarah! hey sarah! i wanted to say hi but you don't have an e-mail address so i hope you read this. we wish you were here, i think you would love it. everyone is so friendly and relaxed, lots of neat people met along the way. there is no way that you are not coming with us on our next trip, we won't let you not come! how is your class going?
OK, I'm new to this blog thing too but I'm more successful than your dad at finding the most recent entries Great pictures. Sounds like lots of fun and a great experience. Don't pick up any strange unwanted microbes. Hope you're having a great time. Love, Joanne
cool photos Hey guys! Cool photos--i like the looks of the hilly country you are in--similar to north vietnam. How many miles did you hike and was beer always available? Dorien I emailed you with your GRE scores-did you get it? Still cold and wintery here and we still haven't decided where our vacation will be, next week! Oliver I'm thinking of buying the D200; need a back-up and it can always be used at the lodge. Have you posted a day 4 and beyond yet? love, dad
Hello Hello, the photos are completely awesome, the rich colors, the lush greenery, especially since all is white here, and we have had a spell of below zero weather, but it warming up a bit. One of the first photos, it is the 'camp' at sunrise, looks like an oil painting with the way the light filters through. This blog is a great idea, what a wonderful way to stay in touch and allow us to join you on this wonderful trek - much better then waiting until you get home and forgeting many details that you are able to record now. I loved the waterfalls, and the colors of the girl singer's clothing are stunning, the little boy with the before and after is great, what a smile! And Dorien on an elephant!..........enjoy yourself, stay safe, have fun, and thanks for staying in touch........loves ya, MOM

It's stopped now and school is called off for tomorrow too cos of roads. Love your updates...good to hear you;re both cruisin' nicely. Happy trails to you..... xxoo Molly

Wandering Minstrels My first entry to your blog. Did I do something right in rasing you that lends itself to two siblings in their early 20's actually travelling together?
Glad you escaped the madhouse of Bangkok and i haven't heard any thing more in 2 days. What's up? Meeting lots of locals plus foreign travellers? $ holding out? Bet you like the Baht exchange. love, dad

You Want Taxi? Congratulations on getting to (and OUT OF) Bangkok! So looking forward to the photos and furthur entires! And Dorien, so bummed we didn't cross paths in Homer. We can overanalyze, wait, I mean engage in fruitful discussion about why later! Cheers!
Gypsy family It's fun to know that you guys will be going to some of the same places I was at 7 yeas ago...although, alas, I only had 2 1/2 weeks in Thailand and didn't have the time to explore the surrounding areas. That 10 1/2 hour flight to Taiwan from Anchorage is a doozy, though! I am sure you guys will have amazing adventures! I must say I am a bit jealous..but maybe Willow and I will head off on a similar adventure some day. I look forward to hearing some stories....
Camille
Your the best Hey guys,
I just wanted to say thank you for visiting us. We really enjoyed the company and letting you too get to know the kids better. Thanks for all the help babysitting and emotional talks we have had. I hope you too have a wonderful trip and a safe one. We love you and will miss you more.
if hollywood has taught us anything about being young and reckless in another country, it is this: say no to sex and drugs (and ax murderers) i leave you to digest this advice as you will.
Hearty Halarity Whether halarity is spelled right or not, Eric and I laughed heartily at your 1st entry in your blog. I'm still laughing. Dorien, truly you are a writer extraordinaire and we await your next words and adventures with baited breath....baited with what...? And Oli, you make me laugh to my soul and thank goodness Dorien agrees to speak for you. Godspeed (or Sciencespeed) be with you both and may the positive chirality of the universe be with you on your side of the planet. You are so very loved (and enjoyed) by all of us. xxoo Molly, Eric and Sean
You know That you two are the busted end of the family spectrum when it goes to looks? I mean, it starts with me, skips Eli, then hits Sarah, then finally trickles down to you two fools. (Eli was dropped. Allot. It helped his looks actually)
Mom still loves me the most.
Have fun, can't wait to see the scars.
we are two incredibly good looking and wicked smart siblings (particularly the younger one - but not that much younger. less than a year in fact) that are out to see the world and have some good adventures and, if we are particularly lucky, a few bad misadventures that sound even worse when we tell people back home, but from which we escape either unscathed or with a really sexy scar. ... full info
