Names It seems like most the people who have American sounding first names have them because they studied somewhere in the U.S. In "Mark"'s case, he was actually a citizen of the U.S. before he renounced his dual citizenship and moved back to Taiwan to become the head of the National Security Council.
Photography Your photography skills are awesome and they do look very professional.....stunning pictures! Your blogs are very informative- thanks for the good reads! Jenn
But we got Medicare.... I'm wondering if the 4.55% payroll tax fully funds the system or is it further subsidized by the government and if so what is the extent of the subsidy? Also, how many of the 22.7 million people are actually employed and pay the tax? What happens when they retire and no longer work to pay the tax? Do they still get coverage? On average, most of a person's medical expenses will be in the last years of their life....I'm wondering if they have as many old people as the US does? We just celebrated a 100th Birthday in our family. Her last hospital visit was one day, on February 8th, and cost around $7,000. Hooray for Medicare. We also have the FREE baby thing here too....and it comes with an added BONUS, citizenship.
Enjoy the bloggings David: I enjoy reading your blogs.........what an experience you are getting to embrace! Enjoy the rest of your trip and I look forward to reading the next blog! Jenn
One more... I also love that the Secretary General of the National Security Council's first name is MARK. How do you think he feels about being a male secretary? Just askin'.

We'll treat you to Matt's when you get back....Nothing much going on here except we are expecting Noah's Ark to arrive on Lake Travis any day now!! Unbelieveable rain we are getting and we have days to go with more rain! Have fun....S
"Family" I am fascinated. For God's sake, I hope you do a thorough investigation and push every darn button on that control panel. Surely that will keep your family clean. :)
You missed some states Allthough I wouldn't expect you to remember since you were only two years old, you have been in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas and Nebraska. You made the trip in the backseat of that all time winner car of ours called the Pacer.
