Weather You'll gloat when we tell you that the Okanagan/Similkameen is breaking some 100 yr. old records for weather - that is, all-time lows! The cherry blossoms in some parts are toast so enjoy your warm weather for us! Love the colours of fabrics!
Cheers,
Paul and Merrilyn
Wow! Fabric Galore! It's truly amazing! Thank you SO much for these blogs. Nice picture of you, too Steve! Yes, it does appear that shirt is a bit small for you. Can't wait to see your tailor-made ones! Maybe you can have someone take a pic of both you and Nancy in your new ones?
Your book You are doing well.. Have been busy myself what with tying flies for the stores. Thanks for your photos ,most enjoyable. About that book by the chinacanuck put me down for your first autographed copy . Keep up the blogs and lets hear a few comments from Nancy please . John
Thanks Steve and Nancy for sharing all this with us- it is like having a virtual tour of where you are - but better because there is no cost "card" involved!
Take care and keep "connecting" us - we really appreciate it. Susan and Josh are putting on the Improv workshop this Saturday. It should be fun.
Bye for now.
Sylvia
Wow! What a nice school. That 50 cent lunch looks yummy. I hope you are over the culture shock and settling in. I just cl0osed the deal for renting an office above the post office for ou new internet radio station. Thanks for your help. Chow for now.
unusual cuisine Hi Guys! It certainly sounds like you've begun the adventure of a lifetime in style. I had to chuckle when I read, "Once in awhile I see or taste something I recognize." We miss you here. I have to take minutes for the PPAS today as Sylvia is away. Hope I can do them justice. Take care, looking forward to the next entry.
Looking good there. How is the fishing!!!!
Thanks for the great update. What is Nancy doing there?
Are you going to learn how to write Chinese? Ha!
Could you get someone to write trout fisherman John in Chinese and send via a digital photo to me ? It would be fun to a sign with that on it. And hang it on the house porch or perhaps our carport.
It is really snowing here. Was driving last night and could hardly see the road. So keep up the warm weather reports from your neck of the woods and send some along on the westerlies. Sure enjoy your blogs Steve . Thanks TAK DU in Norwegian .. John

After teaching many years in Canada, I moved to China in 2007 for a different experience. Teaching a few more years, and seeing a bit more of the world at the same time, seemed like a better idea than retiring. I am now in my fourth year at Wuhan Maple Leaf International School where I teach Mathematics and am head of the Math Department. An avid motorcyclist (over 60, 000km of North American road trips during the last five summers), I now ride a Chang Jiang 750cc sidecar bike here in Wuhan. This blog was started to keep our friends and family informed about our adventures. I hope anyone ... full info
