Like all other conflicts in different parts of the world, this is a "die hard" problem in Sri Lanka. Hopefully the violence will de escalate and less people will be affected. A peaceful agreement could be procured.
By the way, I am from Colombia, as you people know we also have our own old armed conflict. A friend of mine from Sri Lanka tells me that people from Coilombo never eat the part of the rice that remains roasted at the bottom of the pot where it is cooked. In my country, as well as other places in the world, this is a most palatable treat. We call it "pega". In India is called "Kurchan" some other people call it "Kikayo". Is it true that you people throw that roasted rice to the garbage?
