WOW CIao belli! Thank you so much for the postcard from SA. They are both on our fridge and Isabella plays with them. I think you made an impression because she keeps calling you, even when she is playing by herself with the dolls, she says "Paul, Lice, aereo"...so funny. ANyway, I am glad you decided to stay on the road longer. It is such an opportunity! We wish you all the best. Un abbraccio
Elisa, Stefano e Isabella
Oh my god! At the moment I would just go for the very large candlelit meal...I am turning into a lazy fat whale.
I believe you are trying to get lost somehow just to have a reason not to come back!
Please send Silly Billy a nice postcard from Chile because just this morning he was complaining about the one you sent from India...
NZ Hi guys,
I can actually relate to some of the pictures, cos ive been there (so my jealousy has briefly subsided). I will definately go back there and the campervan sounds to be the best way to do it.. great reading about your travels ,you are putting so much work into them fair play.. (ok my jealousy is back now!) the weather is atrocious here at the minute bet your not missing it one little bit! take care x lor
Catching up Alice and Paul, I have finally managed to get on the blog and have spent the last two hours reading of your adventures thus far. I am on call at the hospital and am waiting to talk to the on call team who are brand new so I need to see the whites of their eyes before leaving the tender folk of Essex to their ministrations. You truly are having a wonderful and exciting time. Your Blog reads like a travel book. India, Malaysia Australia ( really brought back memories - Emerald, Whitsunday islansds, Noosa, Brisbane - what good times Ihad in all of these places). To morrow we go to hare Island on the annual two week holiday with the kids etc. I t=rang mother yesterday to find out what the weather is like "not bad, it hasnt rained since 4 o clock" she said - at 7pm. Aparantly it is a little moist at present in ireland!!!! It will be strange being on hare Island with out a visit from you guys - we are once again allowed to attend the restaurant on one occasion to savour the traditional fresly defrosted duck and i will raise a glass to you both.
Have been to France twice over the last month - once for a weeks holiday in the luxury of the vill near Nice ( always reminds me of the Monte carlo Challenge) and wait for this -----last week I cycled from London to Paris over 4 days accompanied by the back up crews of Kids and wife - it rained most days but overall I feel very smug about it!!!!!
Life in Maldon is good. Continue travelling and enjoying yourselves.
Will log on again in the near future.
Best wishes
Ronan, Sam, Patrick, Olivia, Jamie and Sandy!
Sorry for being late. Scusate il ritardo. Hi guys, it's wonderful to read about your journey and I guess you feel different and enriched day after day.The last time I wrote to you I was about to go to Naples to see my brother. Well, I had a very good time there and I went to the beach (it was the 1st of May and it was really warm down there).I only spent 4 days but I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately while I was away somebody tried to steal my car here in Cork:they damaged the passenger lock and all the ignition part (which was totally detached) but they could not get it, fortunately. It costed me 340 euros to fix it but I still have my car. Can you believe it? I went to Naples and they tried to steal it in Cork! In 10 years in Palermo nobody gave a glance to my car! Now I am just back from my holiday in Tropea with Martina, a colleague from Slovakkia. We are together since the end of May and I am very happy with her. We spent 1 week in Tropea (wonderful sea and very hot!) and we also went to the Eolian Islands for 1 day with a boat. She really liked it though sometimes she got nervous with weird relaxed and too easygoing lifestyle of people from southern Italy. But as I am from Palermo, I gave her some useful tips to carry on and leave her precise and tight German approach to life and people for a week by saying "Never mind and enjoy!". Next week we'll fly to Bratislava and I can't really wait to go! I am sure I will enjoy it. Take care and enjoy your journey. Kisses. Sergio
Sergio
Lucky you! Hello Paul and Alice,
I envy you sooo much and love reading about your adventures. Now you're in my favorite country ! Recalls me so many great memories!!!:-)...Indeed North Island could look like Ireland but you will see the south Island is totally different! Are you not going to visit Brad, Doro and Théo in Auckland? I won't be able to make it to NZ now but plan to go back to this side of the world by the end of the year. It was great meeting you in BKK. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Best wishes, Nathalie
baci italiani Ciao carissimi!
alice e paul
Noosa was my favorite Hey you two,
it`s simply great to read your stories about so wonderful countries...I have waited to write you till I could join with my own experiences ;-) and I am really happy that you have seen Noosa because it was my favorite from the East coast (beside of Bayron Bay). On the way, where you can walk along the coast through the National Park, I have seen the first Koala in free nature. Did you see the traffic sign with the Koalas "We live here too"? Oh I could tell so many stories, but that's on you. So go ahead and enjoy!
At last one thing to translate: Reisen veredelt den Geist und räumt mit allen Vorurteilen auf (by Oscar Wilde)
Looking forwar to your next dinner party! Hi Alice and Paul - just catching up with your travels, everthing sounds and looks fascinating. I am envious of your adventure and marvel at your stamina! Things here in the Ould Sod are the same old same old - so nothing new there! Keep the blog flowing and the photos in focus. Be safe, John.

feeling chilly in grey skibbereen Hi guys - all sounds fabby! You're certainly not missing anything here. Was listening to Ray Darcy on my way to work this morning and they were talking about couples who go traveling together - supposedly they tend to live happily ever after - your thoughts?
Good laugh... Hey you Alice and Paul, it’s great to hear ya are having such a great time on your journey. Really enjoyed reading your blog bout doing it like original tourists and waiting for hours to take one shot of a sleepyhead. Take care and beware of Indian monkeys! ;-) LG from Berlin
Wow! What amazing places! Che spettacolo! I am happy for you that you enjoy your holiday and see so many wonderful places! Here in Cork it is the usual everyday life with my car which sometimes does not start up and the weather which is as stable as the governments in Italy. I had a good time in Palermo back to my family and friends and went to swim in the open roof swimming pool as I used to do before moving to Cork. On the 2nd April there were 20°C! I laid in the sun after swimming and I thought that the weather is one of the few things I really miss about my town. Now I am looking forward to go to Naples to see my brother for 4 days on 30th April. I can't wait to delight my taste with the real genuine PIZZA (the capital letters are mandatory), the "pastiera" and the "sfogliatelle". I hope not to find too much rubbish though. I will give you updates as soon as I come back. Kisses
Oh so Jealous!!! Hi Guys, Hope both of you are well. Sounds like ye are having a great time. Really enjoyed reading the blogs (I'll have to learn Italian to keep up with ye!!) so keep them coming. Take care!!!
We have finally managed to fulfil one of our dreams, travelling around the world. We are leaving on 3rd of April and look forward to tell our friends and family everything about this adventure!! The first leg of our adventure will take us to Delhi in India, followed by Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. We are all too aware that this is an amazing opportunity for us to experience life in very diverse cultures not as holidaymakers but as true travellers for the first time. We intend to experience the journey to the full, to soak up the sigh... full info
