about spera i was in spera with coalition fogrces and ETTs about 3 months, as a interpreter my mission name is speedy, it was a good place to die, every day attacks by the talibans, but the ANA were defeating them from both OPs East OP and Yellow OP
First USAF on Clark I was part of the first group of Airmen on Camp Clark. Aug 06 - Feb 07. There were about 80 people (including KBR) on the whole camp and we became a family. I will never forget and always cherish my time there. Glad to see the camp is growing.

You are wonderful Thanks so much for the wonderful pictures and for narrating such an incredible journey, it made me feel closer to my son, he is a Navy Corpsman and is now somewhere in Delaram..
Our phone conversations are short there is so much to say...but such a little time. We said I love you several times, but I understand that he is on a rush.
He is so excited about this mission.
Your pictures helped me to understand and visualize more about that place. Thanks for being nice to the children
I am praying daily for my son and all our Armed Forces.
God Bless you.
Friend of your Dad Hey Billy, good read. My family appreciates all you and others are doing over there. We always pray for your alls safety and your safe return. I speak with your dad often and he always mentions how your are doing. I know he is proud of you and what you have done and are doing and I know he is looking foreward to your safe arrival back here in 'the world'. Take care of yourself and know others are thinking of you. George Smiley and family.

Thank you. We are on the up and up you can find us on www.easttexasmilitaryfamilies.com. Check us out!
Great little base I was also there for 9 months. Aug 08-Apr09. It was a great little base. SGT Dupont...may you rest in peace...you always brought a smile to the faces of those around you. To the medical team...Doc Mercado...you have the pimp hat now. Good people and a hell of a lot better than being on a ship out in the middle of the ocean. To George from KBR and the rest of the guys...keep your heads down and make it home safely.

Herat Thank you for serving our Country. I also have a son at Camp Stone and seein the pictures and post helps me see where he is at. Thank you for taking the time to post.
I served in Shindand Hi William: I stumbled across your blog and was interested in your Shindand picture. I served in Shindand on an ETT / PMT last year. I was with VT, but came in with the 27th.
Only a few more weeks for you. Good luck and be safe.
Thank you I am the mother of a soldier that is on his way to Camp Stone right now. I know very little about the conditions there. In trying to control my fear of the unknown and I am looking up any current information about this camp. I wanted to begin by thanking you for serving in Afghanistan. Second, I wanted to thank you for your blog. Just seeing the pics of the area and your comments have helped me a little. God bless you and may he keep you safe.
I forgot it is election day in Afghanistan, until I saw your blog. Thanks for the report. :) I suppose the low turn out of voters might be because people are scared, or maybe they just feel discouraged because nothing seems to improve for most no matter which government they have.
wow! Hi William. Your pics and blogs are amazing! It gives us back home a real idea of what you guys are going through each day. wow. nice touch seeing the reality of life in Afghanistan too....i.e. kids, puppies, stores, fields of poppies. Thanks again and please stay safe!

Hi! I put this together for family and friends to keep track of what I'm doing here in Afghanistan. I am a medic in the Illinois National Guard currently serving on an embedded training team and providing mission support. In no way am I here to offer political opinions or social commentary-this is just a brief narrative of my time here. I will be coming back to America in late September, 2009.
