Wow Hey Eric and Annie!
So kewl to be back in the Bahamas through your blog. Did you see Roxanne (Merrill's daughter) at Norman's Cay - she works at the Beach Club. Enjoy and take care. Thanks for making my day!
Living my dream through you all!! Thanks for letting me share your cruising adventures with you all. I have power boated and sailed ever since I retired from the Navy in 71. We sail every two years in the BVI. Have always wanted to cruise like you all are doing but as with most of us circumstances have prevented this.. My wife tells me that 14 years of sea duty in the Navy was enough!! An aircraft carrier doesn't have sails though.. Stay safe and enjoy your adventures...As Bob Bitchen says "Attituide the difference between adventure and an ordeal" Chuck on the Chesapeake
Idyllic Lifestyle Hi Annie and Eric
You both look fantastic! And your photos are beautiful. We are glad you are safe and sound--and warm! The Bahamas look beautiful and those lobsters-mmmmmmmmmmm! I am glad your first guests have been on board. Be well, travel safely and keep in touch. Miss you.
envious You guys certainly have my tongue hanging out with these pictures, they are beautiful, what a way to spend your life. I hope one day I will be able to join you on webesailing, it is a dream of mine once I get this other knee fixed. In the meanwhile enjoy yourselves and keep safe. We miss you.

Haiti forever I took my son to Jeremie when he was sixteen (1996) and many other locations. We went over the mountains...Haiti, the reason so many of us love you is because we are called to you. Been there 12 times, coming back to help SOON!
WOWWWWW I am so impressed with the look of the boat. You guys have done a fantastic job ... congrats! That new generator looks like it could power a few of the samller cays down there!
Cindy and I complained last fall that we had a cold ride down from Norfolk to Charleston but we did not have to play icebreaker - which is probably a good thing as Bennies probably don't do well in ice!
Life will be soooo much better when you are anchored outside McDuffs at Norman's Cay and the cold Kaliks dont stop being served by the lovely and talented Stef! Roxanne leaves there to come home tomorrow but she will be back at McDuffs in 7 to 10 days I am gusessing - make sure she makes you a fantastic meal - she owes you a big favour for the help you provided her for her adventure.
We sure wish were there again this year .... but our next sabatical is not scheduled to start until the late summer or fall of 2011 - We want it to be NOW!!!! Ambition is in teh shop this week for a few upgrades for her next journey to warm and crystal clear water.
Cheers Annie and Eric

hello Steffen Hello Steffen Kosian,
My name is Franklin Metayer. My family owns the majority of Land in Anse-Rouge, Plaine de Larbre and Source Chaude. This area is not developped yet and is a safe place to stay. if you are interested, please call me and we can plan something for whenever you decide to go there. Right now, I am collecting clothes, food, shoes so I can take down there in May or June to distribute to the people in Plaine de Larbre Anse-Rouge, Because all the aid always stay in Port-au-Prince where those people never see help.
Thank you and I commend you all for what you all are doing for Haiti.
Did the earthquake affected Jeremie? Newscasts have concentrated on the capital of Haiti. Have other cities suffered considerable damage and casualties? Is some help getting to them?
Relief efforts Why can't relief and medical supplies be flown into Jeremie? There are thousands of refugees arriving by boat, bus and truck from PAP and they are in dire need of help.
Here I am again Well, I wrote you a "private" note coz I couldn't find this page but I'll write again here just in case you didn't get last message. Sooooo .... to reiterate: happy, happy birthday Annie. Hope you celebrate with all that the seas can offer and wish you the most romantic of sunsets xxx Have a wonderful day and wishing you both a season of pleasant company, sunny days and calm seas xxx Fay
a land of peace I recently traveled to Jeremie with HHF....what a beautiful, strong, kind, HOPEFUL people they are there! Especially out in the mountain villages, they have very little but they have such a huge sense of pride, family, religion, love and hope.....so who's "poor" and "backwards" here?....them or us in the USA?
LA gonave pays de mon reve I am from la gonave , Anse-a-Galets per say, i visit the island almost evry year, i enjoy been at home, the beach of Sou-Pointe is beautiful, the water is delicious, the people are beautiful, the food is natural, indeed la gonave is the only place on earth that i really feel free, feeling close to mother nature, so i will encourage anyone who have the means to go and visit this paradise island you will have fun.
Trying to locate Jean Fenthon Aristhomene I'm not sure where Fenthon was from but the town of Jereme sounds familiar to me. Fenthon came to Ocala, FL and was enrolled in a 2-yr course at Central Florida Community College. The last known address I have for him is Bowdon Rue Butte #2, Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The phone number is (509) 45-6577.
Is there some way I can locate him? Do you have a directory that I can access from the internet?
