Keeping up with my nephew, Will Hi Will,
In cleaning out my desk I came across your blog address and was thrilled to be able to track your travels. This is a first for me.....entering into the world of blogs. Before this, it was just good ol' email, and maybe a bit of wordprocessing. Old dogs CAN be taught new tricks!!!!
I love being apart of your world. I look forward to the next entry.
Love, Cindy

Cherburg area, Cherburg is a shipping harbour neede by USA invasion. It was badly damaged but it was fixed and became a good place for cargo unloading.
My good army friend, Max Feinsand ended us as supply sargeant for a very large PW prison there after the war. I took Mimi there to see the location when we were back after the war. The huge prison was removed and the fields were back in wheat.
Alternate Roads Will,
During WW2 we found that the French had set up parallel routes to always be available in time of war. Gerard Huve's dad told me about this.

Good grief, Is this "la Girade" near St Foy le Grande ? I stayed here for a couple of weeks in 1981. Looks like you've changed it a bit.
