Creepy What a wonderful blog - so creepy! I had a nightmare about torture the night I read your blog so something definitely stuck! Have to hunt out Killing Fields now! Hope you enjoyed HK - can't wait to see your blog on that. Will send you a full update email soon. Take care xxxx
Appealing Hoi An Hi to both of you. Hoi An seemed very picturesque and quaint from what you said in your blog and the pictures you took which were really pretty. I would certainly think about visiting Hoi An. It seemed very atmospheric and charming from the photos and also seems to have exceptional tailors if the photograph is anything to go by. It might be worth a visit for this alone especially with the amount of suits that I go through!!! No to the pork but the picture did look tasty enough. Saigon traffic did look a little crazy even at night but the lights at night did make it look quite pretty - a nice effect. Hope you have enjoyed Hong Kong and found some time to relax. If not I am sure you will in Thailand. Speak to you soon. All our love and kisses to you both and missing you very much. Nearly half way through - you have both done so well. xxxxxxxxxxx
Saigon Have you ever seen Miss Saigon the musical? I have. Not that it really has anything to do with your blog or photos, except that...well...its in Saigon haha.
Everything looks fab. I wish I could have traveled more. You never know, sometime maybe.

wow Love this blogg, could almost taste the food from your description my mouth was watering, still is. Sooooo jealous about the clothes you are having made, can't wait to see them. As per the pics are fab and i can see how exhausting it all must be and how those chill out days are essential. Love you both Mum xxxxxxxx
Mum Dad and boys Hi Michael, Quite a history lesson and you know how much we all love history in the Baker household. Blog is very well written and the photos show a good side of Vietnam.. considering. The mausoleum was fascinating however I would not have wanted to see Ho Chi Minhs body in death. Batman cave ? yes it was worthy but not realistic to the Dark knight film as you will have realised. HAve read both blogs since our return from Sunny Beach, BSR (18/08 - late) but with so much information have re-read before
commenting. Will re-read GEV befroe commenting as well. The information and history you are inputting to the blogs is absolutely brilliant and extremely interesting to read. Missing you both. Looking forward to skyping tomorrow. Love and Kisses, MUM xxx
I am now more knowledgable than ten mins ago having read your blog. I am so blonde, I didn't realise that when you clicked on the pics they enlarged.. now I will go back and look at previous pics and see the details.woopie- cannot wait to come out and see you both ONE MONTH EXACTLY. visited my new work today, its nice, and there are lots of lively, lovley little people wondering around. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care...xx
tubing?! I had no idea what tubing was until your blog! I had to ask an ex-traveller who sits next to me at work whether it was a made-up thing but she knew tubing very well! All I can say is....I lead a 'sheltered life'! Only found out what a strawpedo was the other day! Looks brilliant guys, missing you lots! xx
xxx "One of the first, and most important things we needed to do was shave my (Mike's) beard off."
LOL!So Glad Victoria could keep hers! Glad to hear you're having a great time. Nan is doing really well and the chemo isn't affecting her too badly so far. We're all enjoying your blogs, it feels as if we're taking the journey with you. stay safe xx
Sounds like fun!! Hi Michael and Victoria, Can I just say that you both looked so well when we 'skyped' last weekend. Thanks for making Oliver's birthday even more special. Will send an e-mail to update you again before the next 'skype'. Laos sounded wonderful especially the tubing which sounds brilliant and the mud dancing - you know how much I love dancing of any sort. Michael - you looked scary and reminded me of Wallace and Gromit with that grin not Arnie!!! You seem to be having a brilliant time and thoroughly enjoying every minute. Vientianne sounds very quaint and a place well worth visiting if you wanted a quiet holdiay. That must have been nice for you both to gather your thoughts. Nathan was very intrigued about the monks and their way of life. Enjoy Hanoi and speak to you both soon. Love and kisses Mum, Dad, Nates and Oliver XXXXXXXXXXXX
O guys i really like the sounds of Laos. That tubing sounds just like the sort of thing me and Gary would love doing. Sorry haven't sent many messages lately but been so busy organising Toms 18th. Tell you more on facebook. Love you both. Mum xxxxx

awww. Thanks, you put me in your blog with my amazing teaching skills! Haha! Oh and I'm sorry but I have to steal that photo of Victoria cleaning out the buffalo sheds - simply because I'm in it, and I [stupidly] didn't get a photo of myself cleaning poo! :]

WOW WOW WOW What absolutely fantastic photos!! I am totally amazed. Bangkok looks utterly beautiful and as I would expect for a fairytale book. It is impressive, so very clean and prestigious from the photographs shown. It must be wonderful to see all that first hand. Lucky you two. You both look so well and not at all worn out. The variety of the trip must be agreeing with you both. Cannot wait to hear about Chaing Mai and see those photos. Insects, Mike, yuck!! Whatever next? Red meat??! So very glad that there are some luxuries early on in your trip. Anyhow all our love and hope to speak to you (possibly 'see' you) this coming weekend. Missing you both. Love and kisses Mum Dad and boys.XXXX
Wow guys.... ...looks really amazing. The temples remind us of when we were in Koh Samui but not the skyscrapers nor all that traffic! Looks like such a fantastic contrast. And your taste in delicacies, Mike, never fails to impress! You're both looking really well - hopefully speak to you soon xxx
Love these pics guys and the ones you emailed us but sorry Mike,I prefer you with a goatie, perhaps not a full beard though. Hope you are having a fun time in Bankok and can't wait till after you've had your elephant sanctury experience so we can hear all about it. Love you both loads, Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Restful week Hi Michael and Victoria,
I hope that you are both feeling very refreshed after your restful week in Khatmandu. It sounds like you enjoyed the experience. So glad you are better now and looking forward to Bangkok. That was a really historic time when you visited Nepal due to the political situation changing and under your very noses. As I said on a previous e-mail, Oliver is extremely jealous that you got all that for £4. Lots of monkey mentions - were there a lot of monkeys there? They seem to be everywhere!! Missing you both but looking forward to 'speaking' with you at the weekend and hearing about Bangkok. Enjoy but be safe. Dad will update you on his birthday weekend in his next e-mail. Not the same without you. Love and kisses Mum Dad and boysXXXXXXXXXXX
Nan & Pop send their love xxx Hi Mike and Victoria, sounds like you're having the experience of a lifetime, fantastic!! I've printed off your blogs for nan and pop to read. They're really enjoying them and laugh out loud at some of your experiences so far. Keep 'em comin'!!
Love to you both and stay safe. Claire, Andrew and boys xxxx
Keep the news coming Hi darling, what a lovely surprise to read two blogs in a matter of days. Thank you for the call this morning as it was lovely to hear from you. You sound so well even after your insect experiences and long and tiring treks. However looking at the fantastic photographs I can see why you both managed it so well and enjoyed it so much. The views are breathtaking. Thank you both for these wonderful photos so we can share your experiences. we are so envious and only wish we were actually with you sharing all of this. What a wonderful experience you are both having and sharing. Please keep the blogs, e-mails and telephone calls coming in addition to the photos which mean we share it all too. Looking forward to the photo of your being clean shaven to prove only the beard made you chubby looking. Love to you both and please enjoy a more relaxing week in Khatmandu before heading for Thailand. Love to you both and kisses from us all.XXXXXXXXXXXX
