Team, We spent a few days in Bangkok, enjoying the relative familiarity of their plumbing. Highlights include a day spent touring various mega-temples in Thaliand's equivalent of the Vatican. Everything that can possibly be covered in gold leaf or colored glass mosaics is. Gigantic gold and stone demons, buddhas and royal tombs dot the area every few hundred feet. We walked through these temples for hours, and frankly exited them more than a little overwhelmed by all the Buddhist Iconography and Thai religious/national myths (Rama and Sita were Thai.) What better way to relax after so much gem encrusted golden stuff than by taking a ferry down Bangkok's river, sipping on a smoothie with about twelve different fruits and vegetables in it, including one called "Dragonfruit"?
