Newbie It's easy to feel like the newbie when you have so much experience in everything else that you've done lately. Camp and Keating; remember that both were new at one point too. Now look at you! I totally know the feeling. It'll fade. Give it time.
So do you get your own room or share a double room with this roommate of yours. I dunno how these things work. How long has she been working on the ship?
So pumped for you Netter. Travelling is wonderful.
Happy New Year!! Hi Jeanette.....great to so you Christmas eve....we'll miss you at Hedley Christmas.
There always has to be that terrible first day (or two) on the new job. Another challenge that I'm know you'll manage. Things will fall into place.
Happy Sailing......Love Aunt Renee xoxo
YeOldeMan Awesome. Sounds like a great route. How many days is this route? Does it still use the same home port as the Coronation?
Great stories thus far.
puchi had to be put down... only because we couldn't find anyone to take care of her while we were going to be gone... not even the vet. It's sad and totally not fair. In the end, I guess it's for the best.
A good thing extended distance will be a good thing Netter. The challenge is definately there but it's challenges that we overcome that make us stronger individuals.
Once you're on the boat... then it'll feel real. Good luck babe. I'm off to Roatan tomorrow morning nice and early. Hopefully I'll find an internet cafe I can write from at least once. Talk to you soon!
The Way it's Meant to be I'm sure everything will eventually work itself out. It'll all happen the way it's meant to. Maybe you're meant to learn something from the smaller boat, or meet someone cool. Either way, YOU'RE TRAVELING! And not to mention, working on a cruise ship!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pumped for you. Nerves are normal.
Anticipation... I remember the feeling well. Things are so surreal. I don't think it really hit me that I was actually leaving until I was on the plane. Even saying goodbye to my family and Estelle, I was bawling my eyes out but couldn't believe that it would be almost a year before I saw Canada again. It's awesome Netter and I am so excited for you. The overwhelming feeling eventually goes away and leaves you feeling somewhat liberated.
I make and teach art. The rest of the time, I travel. After Spain, England, Uganda, California and years of tour guiding, it was time for the next big adventure. Working for Carnival Cruise Lines. I signed onto my first ship in December 2006. Sevent contracts and twelve ships later and I've been around the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska.
What have I put my hard-earned cruise money to? More travel! Oct - Dec 08 I travelled around South Africa. Sept 2010 I went to Fiji which had been at the top of my travel list for years. Making dreams come true!
