Rice -a-Roni, The San Francisco Treat! Remember that commercial song? Haha! SF is amazing! Did you get to ride a trolley up and down the steep streets? Hey, win some bucks for me in LV! When you get to Utah, check out the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for me. It's in a canyon in Kanab, Utah but don't know where that is near. Bring back a few more dogs and cats for me! lol!
DAD!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO SMILE WITH YOUR TEETH!! HAHA YOU'RE SO GOOFY!! I MISS YOU! I LOVE YOU! =D <---- that's what you should look like!!!!
Northern California As I told Phil and I think he said they cited on your cruise, from Mark Twain - "the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". The great thing about California is that the state has it all, oceans, mountains, deserts, cold, hot and about everything in between. Elaine and I are so sorry we missed you in Bakersfield, it's hard to believe our timing was a day apart. Although I grew up there, technically Fresno is my hometown as I was born there. Hope you had a good trip to Las Vegas; the Tehachipi Mountains probably seem tame after your previous encounters. The joshua trees in the Mojave are quite a site and if you noticed, although you were in the desert, you were over 4,000 feet above sea level for quite a period of time (the "high" desert). Win big in Vegas, Elaine my Dad and I left quite a bit of ours there, would be nothing better than having our friends win some, or all, of it back for themselves. Flying out of San Diego tomorrow, will probably see the Grand Canyon from the air, I imagine your heading that way soon. Nice to have you heading East again.
Speaking if WVU. . . . At Myrtle Beach I saw a family that set up a large canopy on the beach that was an official WVU product complete w/ logo and colors. I took a pic for you! Haha!
Is this country beautiful or what? I got behind on reading your blog. I continue to be amazed at your pics of the amazing sites. Seems like each place you stop is even more breathtaking than the last. I also notice that WVU and Clemson seem to be well represented in your sweatshirts and the magnet on the RV! My nerves would be shot going up and down the steep curves and I would have had to make several trips on the scooter for multiple beer runs!! Be safe! Love y'all!
Pacific Ocean, eh? That is pretty cool. We are in Palm Coast, FL right now on a quick 3 day vacation. I will tell you about it next time we talk. I just got internet service at the resort so we wanted to check out what has been going on with you crazy people. Sounds like you are still having a blast- again, we cant tell you how happy we are for you. Tara and I keep talking about how we hope that someday we would love to do what yall are doing. Have fun, we love you. Scott and Tara
WE miss you too. You would have been freaking out on those mountain on the way up, but you would have made it cause you're our KP! We love you and miss you tons.
I'm so jealous! Hi Lori!

California Terrific blog and pics - keep them coming. As you drop into California, if you get anywhere near the Lake Tahoe area (between Placerville or "hangtown" as known to the locals and the gorgeous Lake Tahoe), you will be near Coloma, home of Sutter's Mill where the Gold Rush started and changed California history forever. Also, there is terrific white water rafting on the American River (Elaine and I did the South Fork - the safer one - and the water is brutally cold which does mean terrific trout fishing). Have fun, see you in a few weeks. 107 degrees here in Las Vegas today, could use some of that cold water right now.
planning a trip to Yellowstone I found your blog and Iam enjoying it so much my wife and I are leaving Florida on Sept 8 for a fly into the twin cities than rent a car to Yellowstone, Iam sure your blog is going to be a big help since we have never been out that way thank you Fran
