Bangkok means the city of angels, just like Los Angeles but other than the traffic it’s nothing like LA. Bangkok is cheap, amazingly cheap. I paid 30 US for an amazing victorian one-bedroom that puts Cambria to shame, 20 US for a private Thai cooking lesson and 6 US for an hour long Thai massage. There’s no stereotypical tourist in Bangkok, everyone is here. Most of them staying near Kaosan street. Although it was hard to convince myself to leave the comfort of Baan Dinso Hostel I had to see the Royal Palace and Emerald Buddha. Me and a million other tourists. The buildings of the palace have very intricate walls of jewels, mirrors, tiles and basically anything colorful and shiny. It’s easy to spend hours looking at details.
