yes I checked its offcial website. It says the South Gate will close at 19:00 from November 1 to February 28. If there are some activities, the opening hours will be adjusted. Currently, the lantern exhibition is held on the city wall. It lasts from Feb. 9 to Mar. 15. You may go to see these beautiful lanterns.
WILL YOU DO ME A FAVOR I am planning to go around the city wall in the evening. I wonder if end Feburary counts as Winter or Spring? How late can I stay at the city wall? Thanks.
awesome This place is awesome, when you are inside you can see all the antique furniture from the quing dynasty.
Well worth seeing and muslim street is right behind it with great markets for designer imitation clothes and some not so inviting food.
This along with the fountain show at the big goose pagoda and the terracotta warriors are some of the best attractions in Xi'an
additional answer Dougong architecture has a long history in China. As early as the Shang Dynasty, it was adopted in architecture. Today when we go to a Chinese museum for a visit, we can see beautiful engravings of dougong pattern on the bronze wares unearthed from the Shang Dynasty tombs.
