Mr Thet I wish we could have met Thet when we were in Phnom Penh as planned - he seems like such a lovely man. Love the thinking behind the photoshop pic :)
To be able to order at the cafeteria have you tried to learn some Khmer? Learning a language is also going into some one else's soul. It would be for you a way to find the Cambodiam path of thinking and then you would understand their logic. Thanks for this blog!
Love this post Tim, I'm not surprised at all that you wanted to wash those walls. I would love to be scrubbing away right next to you. Keep posting!! Hugs!! LFO
your inaugural ceremony Really nice, Timo. Your details help us participate from a distance. I know your launch has taken strength & perseverance and will continue to do so. Raising a mug of jasmine tea from NC
Congratulations It was great to read the latest entry of your blog. You're doing good, trasnformative work! Once you change people's views on themselves, on leadership, and on their community - everything changes! You will be empowering people through your institute and I'm just so grateful (blessed) to know you! xoxo Nory
Nice ride Hi Tim! Love the new ride. Who needs a Lexus with a sporty model like that! Careful on the roads with that power machine! Sure that is also another reason for the weight loss.
Love reading about your adventures,
Celene
Aloha Aloha from Hawaii Tim! So it's so great to hear your stories. Mahalo for sharing them! That's "thank you" in Hawaiin. LOL
So happy to hear you're happy!
Lots of love,
Nory
Thanks for the insightful commentary. Very interesting. Don't stop the political commentary, we can all make a difference... but we need to KNOW about these issues. So, keep it up. I've learnt so much since trawling through blogs and travel forums, a more informed would be traveller is much better than an ignorant one.
Thanks for reading I love to write and it's good to know that someone else enjoys it. There is humor and tragedy in every moment here so I try to capture both. Best, Tim
You'd be surprised! Tim:
Can't imagine you think we would have forgotten about you, even for a second. You are in my thoughts daily! Thanks for the political commentary..they do shed light on events behind the scenes we 'would rather forget'. Sounds like you will be very busy soon with classes. As always..'do good things'! Keep writing! (I am a 'visual person', the pics are great!)
Tim,
So glad you have found a place and settled in. I am now caught up with all of the blog entries you've made and happy that you are having a good (and very different) experience. The rat story made me laugh quite a bit especially when I can visualize what you wrote! We all miss you very much!
enjoying the blog Timo, I am reading your posts w fascination. Goodness, what a cultural adaptation you're having to go through. Sending xs and os from NC
Market? Did someone say shopping? Yeah, Judi, I know that anything that sounds like shopping will get your attention. I'll look for some knock off Gucci shoes for you.
Hey everyone!
Today makes the three month mark that I packed up my life and moved to Southeast Asia. I'm currently residing in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and working throughout the region on different consulting projects. I'm based at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia where I'm in the process of creating a Leadership Institute and two new degree programs. Every day is a new adventure. I blog in fits and starts, when I feel I have something to say. Thanks for reading and if you are ever in the area, stop by!... full info
