cost savings Michelle, the neck rings seem a good idea, I would go for it - think of the savings on scarves and necklaces, all you would need is a few decrorative fridge magnets !!
Following Krystyna's last comment I am looking over our garden gate, all we get in Darwen is a flooded field !
Enjoy.
Missing you,
Glamorous Grannies We have just had a chicken dinner and we missed you at the tea table! We have been really interested in reading about your travels - I remember (Grandma Bury) learning about the long necked ladies when I was at school!.
I (Grandma Leatham) have been following your travels day by day on your Dad's old school atlas! Your Mum is going to photocopy the big map that you prepared for her before you went.
Thank you for our post cards - keep them coming!! Looking forward to your next blog.
Love you lots and miss you

Long Neck Karen! How strange! Dear Michelle and Stu
Great to hear from you once again.
I found it fascinating hearing about Long Neck Karen. Who would have thought that being so poor, they would be so vain! Why would it matter to them how beautiful they looked in that poverty. How many years do they continue to wear the neck ring and did you really notice the difference it was making?
The views looked spectacular, you are both so lucky in seeing so much in a short time.
I am concerned about the mossi bites. We too get them here and a lot of Brits recommend buying a antihistamean creme (not sure of spelling). This apparently stops the itching afterwards and stops the bite from getting sore and infected. We cannot purchase it in Australia but you can in the uk from a chemist. If you have a postal box anywhere on your travels, may be worth someone sending some to you (and us in Australia please)!. Nothing worst than the itching after being bitten and of course you can catch things from them, so a bit worrying. Therefore keep up with the insect repellment it does help.
Have fun, thinking of you.

Amazing!!!! Dear Michelle and Stu
I loved your Elephant Blog, truly an amazing experience! I want to go there myself! You will have to send me the details when you get back home.
You both look so well and happy, so pleased everything is going well (apart from the camera batteries!). At least you have a spare charger, always handy.
Were you scared of the elephants at any time or was you supervised to a good extent? Have you actually seen a wild snake yet? Mike came across one the other day whilst on the golf course, an Eastern Brown too!
I am sure this experience will stay with you forever. Enjoy the rest of your travels, keep safe and I look forward to the next blog.
Happy Easter, bet you are missing your chocolate eggs!
Take good care. Love from

Elephant Centre Hi, that looks and sounds really excellent, you are right, talk about being thrown in the deep end. It looks like you did really well and entered into the spirit of the adventure!
Greetings Your Blog's beats a post card any day.

Went to Old Trafford to see BWFC the highlight of the night a cheese burger.

Think I want to be there!! Hiya Michelle and Stuart,
It is so interesting reading your blog - it's amazing what you are learning. Makes me want to be there, especially in that waterfall, it would be a good de-stresser from work which would be just what the doctor ordered at moment!!
So glad you are following your dreams!!

How wonderful! Dear Michelle and Stu
Great to get another very interesting blog. I really enjoyed reading it and the photos are gorgeous! What an experience you are having, you are so lucky.
You were brave going up to the tigers even though they were tame, you just never know with animals. You know what I am like with dogs! The photos are gorgeous, I will have to share this with my neice as she loves tigers.
Continue to have a wonderful holiday, remember slip, slap, slop!
Have a safe journey to your next destination and I look forward to your next blog in a week or so.

What an experience!!! Dear Michelle and Stu
Fantastic to read your second Blog, it makes a good read so keep them coming.
You have done so much in such a short time. The places you have seen look great, what an experience you will never forget.
The hut looks fantastic, sounds better than the hotel room which you had the ant problem. I will have trouble sleeping tonight thinking about all the ants! I will check the toilet role next time I reach for it!!!
Continue to have fun and remember the Aussie saying SLIP, SLAP, SLOP! teeshirt, hat and suncream! Nothing worst than being burnt and the sun is a lot stronger than the UK. So do take good care, don't spoil your travels by getting burnt.
Looking forward to the next blog.

Fantastic to read your first blog to hear you are both safe and enjoying the start of your travels. The snake farm certainly looked exciting, I am too scared of snakes and I see them around our home, school etc, which is really scary. I am sure even now you are careful where you walk when off the beaten track! Have a good time. Just noticed your second blog, so cannot wait to read it.
Your mum mentioned the American Idol. We too are hooked hear in Australia, have they announced the winner yet? We fancy the guy that looks like Gareth Gates or the Aussie guy, forget his name now.
Take care. Have fun.

Take off!! Michelle, ever so well done! You're ready for take off now - in more ways than one! We are so pleased that your plans are all coming to fruition. It can't have been easy for you to make it happen in the way that you have. Congrats to Gareth too for his recent success. Things are really looking up for the both of you.
See you soon

(I've heard that Brisbane Qld is rubbish - too many Brits live there now all speaking with Darwen accents! Its scared away all the kangaroos lol)
Congratulations Dear Michelle
Congratulations fantastic exam results, I am really proud of you. Exciting times ahead, especially as you are so close to booking your flights. Although where is Brisbane, Qld, the best place in Australia??? Are you not visiting us????
Love to all the family.
Krystyna
Follow your dreams and everything is possible!!!!! Dear Michelle
I thoroughly enjoyed reading your newsletter and being a friend I have watched you and Gareth struggle over the years. I am so proud of you both and wish you both continued happiness for the future. I am a great believer in fate and that we make our lives what they are. Follow your dreams and make them real. I was 15 when I met Mike (my husband of 19 years) and I also had a dream to travel. At nearly 17 years old we flew to Florida/Bahamas (family too thought we were mad saving up for over a year) and ever since had the travel bug. The passion for travel and led us to emigrate to Australia. We have been here two years and have just sent in our application to become Australian Citizens. So if you have the desire to travel, do it, have fun, it is worth every minute, who knows what doors it will open! Keep pacing yourself, be happy and continued happiness will follow.
