Yes, when you see the Grand Canyon, you can see why it was named "Grand". What I find amazing is that God new that we would find these kinds of earth formations awe inspiring. What a beautiful earth He has made for us to enjoy. Between t
he Grand Canyon and the huge mountains, what is not to love about the great West.

This is a cool thing to see. I was amazed how blue the water looked. Did you see any scuba folks there? Dickie and I had seen this before when we were R.V.ing. Last year I made sure that Richard and Mom got to see it. Richard loved it
and was glad we took the time to stop by to see it.

My mother, grandmother and great grandmother have all lived or stayed here at some time - surnames Shrubsole, Bassett and Page. I'll have to work on dates - all after 1902.

This is so Tudor-ish! I can just imagine Anne Looking through that window with an enamored Henry VIII looking at her from outside. :)

5th September 2010

I could see Steve, Tod and Brad living in one!
4th September 2010

I could live in one of those forts! I am jealous.

I know that windfarms have become very controversial here in the states - especially the east coast. You know that when in California, I live 5 minutes from a 4,000+ wind farm located in the San Gargonio Pass. You are correct - you don't
realize how big these things are until you stand next to one. I myself really like how they look. It is very calming watching them going round and round.Love you Manniexoxo

Steve... I have never seen such a thing before like these "forts". They are way cool. Where you able to go inside of one of these? They look wicked and forboding however, I am strangely drawn to them. I would love to go up in one of th
em. I can understand your fascination. Now I have it too!'xoxoxomomma

We should be thankful that artifacts of long ago history still exist in this world
