Left Hook A left hook? You know a left hook? Your grandfather would be ecstatic. Tried to teach me a right hook and I totally didn't get it. Anyway, sounds like fun overall. You like the coffee better, in tiny cups? Is it espresso? The writing is great. Love you two
Dad
you're one hell of a lady Dear Kelly, It relieves me greatly to know you walked home (WITHOUT A MAP, AT 3 AM ON FRIDAY NIGHT, ALONE, BACK TO THE north OF PARIS) safely. I can't believe I let you leave. I blame my anvil-filled eyelids. I apologize for not making it to the Without Underwear on Saturday night. For this, I blame the fact that I was wearing underwear (and would never fit in) but moreso the Gay Pride Festival which overtook my terrace with 12 gay men from 2 PM-11 PM. Really really dunno how that happened, I was SUPPOSED to have a productive day. Was so fun to see you. Come back to visit soon! You are one hell of a lady. Love, Elena
absent love
Is Sara checking up on this blog as well? I'd like her to know that I love her and that I am six. So she's been sketching? You said they might be posted up here, and I'd love to spy on them if possible.
sister act Hey - the writing is your usual great and the trip sounds dreamlike. I remember the Louvre and would love to see it again.
I hope you and Sara are not having a major falling out. Be kind to each other. Please tell her i would love to hear some of her thoughts and jokes and what she is doing.
Love you
Dad
kelly and sara (who I met on the street once)
While I am sure this sucked to have lived through, it was very fun to read. This may top your "british accent spring break adventure". Here is an equation for ya....you = funny.
keep um comin' LAAAAAAAAAAAAdy.
Le Busy and tres miss your self sames Hey
I admit i was worried for a few days there. Sounds like a great trip. I love you two. And I miss you more than I expected. But never mind poor old Dad. Have tons of fun. Send names of where you stay please to make me feel better. Much news re shows and busy stuff. No giant contract but getting some gigs. Love Dad
Stop the presses: This may be the first time I have ever heard (or read) Kelly say that she lacked the words to describe something. That her grandmother may be reading the blog just does not cut it, that never stopped her before.
Leopold Bloom i heard (through a very coincidental grapevine) that Bloomsday was canceled this year. joyceans everywhere must be pissed (mad, not drunk)
From Miss Minna:
What can I say, but: whew! Your posts grabbed by heart by its shirtsleeves. Boy oh boy am I happy that you two got on a plane! Isn't it crazy how your luck can change like that? It is both magical and mind-numblingly tragic. I told you about my first trip across from Colorado in Eliot's newly purchased, oil-leaking car, didn't I? A tune from the same songbook.
I myself am planning a trip of my own, with Smelliot, across the United States, as far as Fort Collins Co.
I need to find nice fancy things to stop at such as the world's biggest ball of twine or the state (name the fruit/vegetable) fair, anything cute and strange nd possibly worthy of photographs.
I'll send pictures, whatever they be.
I look forward to spying on you both some more. Please to continue writing.
Kurt

My book Timequake was a collection of observations and thoughts not unlike a 'blog' of today. Hi ho!
