Merry Christmas !!!!! Wow- what beautiful pictures! Brian and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas that you will cherish for a lifetime. We miss you guys !
Mike and Kel, Your day sure was one of contrasts. At the beginning you were being exposed to the horror and evil of Dachau. At the end of the day you got to see goodness and beauty in a children’s angelic choir singing from a balcony on a church. I’m sure such experiences will produce lasting impressions. Have a blessed Christmas in Fuessen. My favorite words from the Christmas story are “Good news of great joy”.
Mike and Kel, It sounds like Germany is becoming a favorite for you guys. Glad to hear that you have a king size bed. It must feel good. The basketball shoot with the goggles on at The Sensory Museum sounds like fun. I would like to provide such goggles for my opponents the next time I play basketball. Quip for the day: What word do they use in Italy for the American word blog? Bologna =) Mike, in no way am I hinting that your blogs are full of boloney.
I went to Rothenberg about 15 years ago during a soccer trip over there. Rothenberg (along with Berchesgarden (sp?)) was one of my favorite places. Thanks for the great pictures - they bring back some great memories.
Mike and Kel, You guys continue to do a terrific job on the blogs. All your fans are able to take this trip with you because you are providing such a detailed account of each day; even a fancy toilet seat. It’s good to see you have a larger size room with a comfortable looking bed. It sure looks like Germany is the place to be during the Christmas season; everything looks quite festive.
toiletten Ich liebe ihren toiletten sitze! Love the blog, Michael......makes me want to run over to Deutschland right now, cold weather be damned!
Have a few "bieren mit schnapps chasers" for us........All the Best and have a Great Christmas (in Nuernburg, if you can get there)........Love you guys........Al (don't miss Dresden, Eisenach, Regensburg, Sylt and the BMW factory tour in Dingolfing)
Cool pix! Hey guys, I hope you're having fun; it sure looks it! I'm really interested in seeing what you end up doing for Christmas. I guess your choices are limitless.
Take care not to get the bird flu. -E
How I love reading your blogs and studying the pictures. You know me, no quick perusal but a concentrated effort to see what you’ve seen and more importantly to see what your faces are saying. So far you guys seem to be having the time of your lives. I couldn’t be more delighted for you. =) Love ya!!!
You guys are making me hungry I absolutely LOVE your detailed descriptions of the food. However, it does make me hungry when I read your blog. oh well. Enjoy Koln!
MJ Sooo, MJ had a fan in Germany... wonder how the David Hassellhoff is going to handle this... can't wait for you guys to get to France and run into Jerry Lewis fanatic!
great idea Next week on the Amazing Race....
"umm...we've lost one of the couples. I have no idea where they...yes, sir. I know. what's that? they've stopped racing? Oh. They're christmas shopping? great. nice episode that'll make."
The Amazing Race Every time I read your Blog I think of the TV show "The Amazing Race". I think you two should apply for the show next year. You are already in training.
You're Gettin' Closer Hey Guys,
I'm in Baden, just west of Zurich so you're getting closer but not quite close enough to get together for a pint. I'll be leaving by the end of the week (another key difference between our trips). Keep your sense of adventure ( and humour ) and enjoy the ride. Keep the updates comin in'

Baggage Sounds like someone is carrying around a little extra baggage! I hope this car rental is as fun as the little red apple on wheels you had last time.
tutorial Your Madrid guy needs to talk to our Barcelona guy about some MJ tunes. The MJ dancer in La Ramblas was a spitting image.
I think we should have a bum training school in America so our panhandlers can have a few entertainment skills like their European brethren. Waddya say?
Your pics appeal to a toddler... Well, Claire caught a glimpse of the wig pictures and thought they look way cool (you got her pointing and doing toddler-speak at the computer). I'm looking forward to showing her the chicken picture tonight. Looks like you guys are having lots of fun. No ideas for you for New Year's, as our New Year's are almost always dull (of our own choosing). Keep the blogs coming. Between your trip and my friend who is in China adopting baby #2, I'm getting a lot of armchair travel in this month. Take care.
Whew! Do you know how much Cap One time I just spent catching up on your travel wares from the begining?? I was rifling through my wallet when I came upon the business card you gave me, MT. So glad I took the time to type in the URL! Kel, we haven't met, but I've known Mike for a few years here at Cap One. I wish you guys the best. Keep taking pictures! I think that's my favorite part as I live vicariously through you guys... :)
thanks for sharing just love the stories and photos. Is it hard to believe it has been a month? What is your favorite memory so far? look forward to getting your postings - and I'm very jealous of the afternoon naps :)

Mike and Kel, Looks like you guys had great fun with the wigs. Maybe you can start a new trend when you come back to Capital One. I was trying to come up with a sentence using the word ‘wig’. My best shot is as follows: While walking through the woods 'swigging' a bottle of soda I looked down and saw an 'earwig' on the ground and also a 'wiggly' worm clinging to a 'twig'.
When you guys get back are you going to get a cat??? Every town has Kel and a cat hanging out. Its a sign... actually you can have one of ours! Alahambra is beautiul - thank you for the pics!
awww aww, the picture with the kitty ! YES I am a cat fan- love my doggies but a cuddly kitty will get me everytime. Glad you guys are enjoying the good life- it looks like you could get very comfortable there!
Wig Crazy I love the wig pictures -- but how exactly are wigs tied to Catholic Christmas? While you both are quite striking in your do's, my personal fave is the older woman in the pink punk hair. BTW, you should both be able to hold your own at a chic art opening with all the great art you are seeing. Not too many people know Gris!
I don't know if you knew this, but your TravelBlog autogenerates custom ads based on the title you give your entry. Today - it's all about the wig wholesalers. Target marketing at its finest. Better watch what you put in your headlines :-)
Congrats on reaching the milestone of one month away. I'm thoroughly enjoying my trip around with world through you. Keep having fun.
For all of you who don't know us, we are a relatively normal married couple from Richmond, VA. We have been married for 5 years and have been friends since we met at Capital One on our first day of work. We have decided to make a "nontraditional move" with our lives. On November 7th, 2006 Kel and I left everything behind and started traveling beginning with Lisbon, Portugal. The plan was to start in Europe, hit Asia, Australia and New Zealand and then return to Europe to finish our year. Before it was all said and done we added destinations in the Middle East and Africa. The trip was am... full info

Just wanted to wish you both a merry Christmas. It's so cool to be able to see this journey through your eyes.
