We left Cambodia this morning and took a 7 hour bus to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in Vietnam. Only $9 each, bargain. And we got to watch a Bollywood film on the bus which lasted about 4 hours. Ace. Saigon is very different to Phnom Penh, and as we came into Vietnam we could instantly see the difference from Cambodia. The countryside is much greener - must be a proper irrigation system for the rice paddies, which Cambodia didn't have. Also, there is not so much extreme poverty - in Cambodia, the poorest people (most people) were living in shacks made out of wood or palm fronds.
