Shame but you can return oh yes! Damn shame about weather in Rio, but come back for Carnival in 2007. It's a blast. And thanks for all the blogs, lah lah lah lah, they've been great.
Christmas dinner just wont be the same after all that lot!! Looking forwrad to having you back and catching up in person. Safe flight and lots of love to you both, Andrea xxx
Apparently a little known byelaw in Lincolnshire prohibits any mention of visits to South America. Sadly, we will have to find something else to talk aboutthis weekend!!
Have a good flight home and see you Friday
Nicky
Hi Just wanted to wish you both a very happy Christmas and a very merry new year as I will not be going to the Christmas weekend this year, I will be too busy sorting my stuff out for my trip to South Africa. I guess the next time I will see you will be when you get back from India unless you are free for a quick drink on the 20th Dec. S x
bored bored bored bored Bored! Hey mateys, not been commenting coz there ain't anything to comment (well apart from things I wouldn't publicy comment, Sally learned that lesson). Got my house mate moving in this weekend and cooking christmas dinner for 14 so going to be stuffing the bird on saturday morning (not something I do very often). Looking forward to seeing you two in a weeks time and slapping you around the faces a few times when you get too enthusiastic with your story telling. Glad you've been having such a fab time. W
Questions & Answers Those off-white fury things you sat on were they alive before you started.
Those off-white fury things you sat on behind the horses head, were they alive before you started?
I noted the Lawrence LLewellen Bowen bedroom make-over. I always knew he had something but up until now it had evaded me.
We now have a new leader of the Conservative Party. Do you really want to come home?
Be happy be safe.

Long time no see! Hi there! I met up with Emma last week and she told me all about your little trip. I have spent and enjoyable hour at work looking through all your journals and I am so jealous. It looks far more organised than when Emma and I did our world trip about 15 years ago. It is great to see all your pics and to read the comments from Russ and Rich and Sally et al - all those memories of university come flooding back.
Enjoy the rest of your trip your lucky things and I will keep watching your site.
Love Sally

Catch-up Yo guys! How're you doing? Am just lying here with a brew catching up with your blogs. Jeeeeeeez how envious could you possibly make someone? You’ll be pleased to know London racked up a raging minus 3 degrees yesterday, but to be fair, it’s beautifully sunny outside...I just haven’t quite managed to crawl out of the duvet yet.
Your trip sounds incredible and is making me wonder whether I do actually want to work my a*se off for that dream house in Richmond or whether I should be organising another sabbatical do you think Axon will give me another 3 months off?
Russ be warned I may not return from India .
Stay well and keep smiling.

PS there should be a law against eating guinea pigs it’s just plain cruel
PPS did you not feel ever so slightly claustrophobic inside those caves? Yikes
PPPS Sal we’re eagerly awaiting the next instalment.. ;o)
PPPPS Lou how’s the crabs?
PPPPPS I’ve got the exact same walking boots (still encrusted with mud from the Escambray Mountains of Cuba) that have been in hibernation since 2001. Prit, sod the house, we really do need to book a trip...
PPPPPPS Some fantastically romantic settings have either of you proposed yet?
Nice one Lou Extremely clever plan to fake an injury so Steve has to carry everything. Funny thing is all his friends reckon they've been carrying him for years.
"Up the French Valley"? can't believe Rich Benson hasn't commented.

Mortified Unlike everyone else, I did not realise that the whole world and its Mother could read these comments. Slightly mortified to find this out but hopefully I managed to cheer a few people up. By the way we are arranging another date but I think I will update you on this via e-mail, much safer for all concerned. Keep having fun, I know I will be! S x
Shaken not stirred This is when 'would you like ice with it?'
takes on a different meaning.
Oh boy what would I give to be where you are now.
Savour every darn minute.
We are at Shrublands for a week from today the 13th.
Sincerely hope your back improves Louise, thank goodness you fell on sand.
Much love to you both.
Can ONE get any greener with envy? I have always wanted to see glacier all that frozen time water .. Drama!!!!
Good pictures BTW... you 2 are always smiling that’s so lovely!!!! Yet one wonders that if maybe just once in while . ( for the sake of us London bound hobbits you understand). A picture of of ONE of you looking a maybe a little pensive/wondrous /astounded/ awe struck even . might be NICE!!! (You know me Lou always the demanding one).
It’s so strange to think of you both relatively SOOO far away . yet I know more what your doing than when you were in ol’ London Town.
I’m sitting at my Mac its 4.25am Sunday morning (got some mad sleeping patterns at the moment don’t ask I could properly do with an infusion for you high altitude exposed blood actually have you thought about selling it to those competing in the next Olympics when you get back????)
Lou RE. Rio I am going to stay put here for a while go loads a stuff going on with the re building of my extension and new flat :)) I guess there’s always the option of meeting up with you in India next year!!!!!
Keep these blogs coming my lovely’s safe passage for the next leg on your "AVENTURE OF A LIFE TIME "
Love to you both
Mark
(for those of you that don’t know that’s Lou’s Brother)
Phenomenal What an amazing record of your adventures. Makes me want to book a holiday tomorrow. Steve, I still find your attention to detail slightly scary - would this win the travelblog best ever write up competition??!! Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Horse Play What I want to know is was the horse that Sally was referring to the horse you were about to ride ?
You do realise that Enfield and Islington will never ever feel the same again.
You are the only people I know who prefer to have their breakfast next to a latrine.
