Ahhhh Thanks for the update, even without the pics. Look forward to hearing EVERYTHING when you get back. What an awesome trip! Going with a school program definitely has its perks. Hope bringing the kitty back is an option. Thought the US was really strict with quarantines, etc. Would love to meet the furry trooper.
Hi Somala Hey Somala! Glad to hear you're having a great time. Your hike up the hill sounds awesome! Reminds me of the mountain we climbed in Kauai, Hawaii. What a view! Sorry we couldn't go to lunch before you left but glad we plan to when you get back. I can't wait to see all of your photos! Take some good ones. Well, you have lots and lots of fun in order to have great memories of your trip. See U when you get back! Be safe. Irene ( ; > )
from Prof Pearce Very nice descriptions. I like the way you are beginning to incorporate what you are learning along side what you are feeling. I liked the idea of bringing in the scene from Crouching Tiger. You are a good writer.
How absolutely fabulous! Thanks so much for the mental picture of these exotic locations (wish I were there). Will keep in mind for future travels. I shall savor BOP with a new found respect and appreciation (and now I know why it never tasted like orange). Love the mystical quality of Horton Plains. Gotta google. And, now I'm definitely signing up for an travel-class.
Attack of the Killer Leeches Now that sounds like a great b-movie. Ahh, the glamour of travel in remote areas. Leeches, huh? Thats one critter I haven't had the pleasure of crossing. Lucky you. Keep the posts coming. Makes me think I'm somewhere but here. Cheers!
eek! that is so scary Somala! Leeches..ugh!
I'm glad to hear how exciting it is though. Sounds like a real adventure! I'm really looking forward to some pictures.:)
leeches... ewww......that's nasty. so did you evade them, or did they evade you!? hahaha... :-)
have fun over there. i'm off to machu pichu and the jungles of peru for a month tomorrow.
Hey Somala. Nice to hear your having fun and enjoying the sites. Unlike over here in the bay where it is pouring rain :-( . Can't wait to see the pics. Don't get too dark, LOL.
Don't feed the monkeys When you take your little hikes, try not to touch the monkeys. I saw outbreak. (j/k) Hope you have a great time. See you when you get back. Maybe we'll go see if the cute waiter is still working at P.F. Changs. Lotsa love!!!!!
