What can I say after reading this but WOW. how amazing. Like I have always said everyone must have a bit of Italian in them....Those bad ass Romans.. lol... There is nothing like the food ,wine and the culture of Italy and of course if your lucky enough to stay with locals you really can experience it all. So glad to read you made it to Torino to visit my family, Mom had called them and they were so excited to hear that you might be visiting. Well my love will be waiting patiently to hear more updates. At this point I am not sure where you are but I was reading your Mom's comment and it sounded like you were trying to make it to Torino. If so I hope you got to see some of our family. We are all missing you but glad your enjoying yourself and seeing so much of the old world culture.
Hope this finds you well ....we are all fine and plugging along . Love you ..Always Ant
My little Olive Oil Hi Darlin! I know I just spoke to you on the phone this a.m. Great to be able to talk to you every day! for all of you out there, Shauna's WWOOFing adventure ends Nov. 20th, You can phone her, get a phone card for Europe, so cheap! The phone # is 011- 39- 0575614190. Just follow the directions they give you. mine is a 7-11" Call Home to Europe", card and for $5 you get hours and hours. Remember that she is 9 hours ahead in time, I usually call about 7-8 a.m. our time, Shauna's usually done her "tough" day of olive harvesting by then. Shauna, I love you so much and miss you more than you will ever know. However, I'm also jealous and excited at the same time. It's wonderful to be able to live vicariously through you!!! WWOOFing sounds so great and the family you're with sound like wonderful people, and such a bonus that they are fluent in English. I look forward to some e-mails and blogs when you get to Torino, I'm getting wireless internet so that while I'm recouping from my surgery I can lay in bed and e-mail you forever, oh, you lucky girl... Love you, Miss you, I see you in my dreams every night.
You're Mom XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
Too wild = sore liver! I have to remind myself that Im not 19 anymore! Not that I could handle my liquor better then, I just seemed to handle the hangover better! AAhhh good times. Did I mention that German beer takes the cake...
She's a wild one Wow- I always knew you had more crazy in you than you let on! Your experiences sound amazing and you are already exuding that 'travellers quality' that you were talking about before you left. I love and miss you but you're not missing much here so keep exploring the world and report back to us unfortunate home-bound souls!
tomatoes! And to think that I sold the last of my tomato plants today at the Garage sale when Dad and I could have been throwing them at each other, Ahhh I gues us Canadians just don't know how to have fun!
Love Mom XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
Good Times! Glad to hear all of your experiences have been "positive" so far! I'm sure you're used to cat calls anyhow, you babe. Keep up the journals. We love to hear how things are going.
Hola Hi Ant! Thanks for the note. Yes this website is so cool. Its just so hard to find available internet, and the time to update it. But I´ll do my best, and its always nice to hear from home as well. I hope you guys are enjoying the last bit of summer. I´m sure enjoying it here!
Take care and my love to both you and John.
Hola Thanks Auntie Shiela, and good call on the hotel, I might be up for that soon. This budget thing sucks! But its fun too. I have to admit, drinking wine out of a tetra pack for one euro is definitely living! Let me know about the Greek contact when you get the chance. Hope all is well.
Love to both you and uncle.
Ciao
I am so happy and excited for you!!!!! Heh girl..............I thought I would be reading about your tomatoe extravaganza! Remember, a good hotel room is only a visa card away......even if it is only to re-group! I just realized I have not given that contact for you in Greece. I will get on that right away!! Love you lots!!
Jealous Hey mate, am very jealous of you right now as I'm sitting at work. Really looking forward to seeing you when you get to Aussie. Hope you are getting used to that hot weather, cause there's plenty of it here too :)

Spain.... Here I am sitting in my dining room trying to visualize walking down the streets in Spain...ahhh. The envy is mounting! But I am glad that there are other people in the world that wanted to spend time walking around with you despite your greatest fears (just kidding). Love you miss you have fun.
I miss you already Shauna; this makes it way to final. Come over for drinks tomorrow if you can before you set out and I set out to jolly Winnipeg (not so much of an adventure). Call me.

I'm off! Travelling is something I've always wanted to do. So after thinking about it for a bit, flipping through the Lonely Planet Blue List, I decided La Tomatina would be the perfect place to start, so I got up one morning, and just booked my flight. Those who know me best, realize this is a very un-like-Shauna thing to do, as I'm normally very organized and like to have all my ducks in a row. But I figure, you only live once, and if I wait for the perfect timin... full info
