It had been planned for a while, so we were not to be put off from our quest to climb Mount Kosiosko - Australia's highest mountain - by the torrential rain. We met our fellow explorers early on Saturday morning, and told ourselves that the weather could only get better. It didn't, but having driven all that way, we decided we might as well as least take the chair lift from Thredbo and 'have a look'. The chair lift was wet and cold, and we decided we'd walk just to the look-out. And anyway - wasn't the rain easing a little?
