My first trip to a National Park was as a kid. My family took a trip to Gettysburg to see the battlefield. It was so long ago that the electric map was still in service. As an adult, I've been to Denali and the Everglades, Acadia to Haleakala and parks in between. We've cycled at Cuyahoga, encountered mosquitoes at Congaree, and wept at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. We've visited Connecticut's Weir Farm and James A. Garfield's home in Ohio. We've been to the canyons, the desert, and the seaside. On this trip we will visit parks in the Rocky Mountain Region. I'll try to capture the experience along the way. So hop in the backseat and enjoy the view.
