wish i were there! sound like you are havin fun. sittin here at work reading about BA makes me want to be down there so bad. and i know this is hard to do, but if you really want to learn spanish(especially if you want to learn fast) you need to isolate yourself from anyone who speaks any english. they did that to me when i lived in brazil and i hated it at first but it pays off big time. cant wait to see you in rio!!!
Giver Reedo I am glad the first week went good. The pics look great and it sounds like your having fun. I wonder if you can get the OSU championship game at one of the pubs I doubt it but I am sure you can watch in online. Take care and I will talk to you soon. Kelly
Good time! Reed, Looks like you are having a wonderful time in Argentina. Those girls are remarkable ... lots of choices, huh? Bet they love the red hair! It does not surprise me that you are being so accepted. Reminds me of a few years back in Columbus! I had the same problem when I taught ESL because the students would never practice outside of class. I know you will work on your Spanish, si? Big game tomorrow night! Mary
Bolivia Linda forwarded your blog to me. Sounds like your having a great adventure. Good to being doing this while your still young. Good luck with your Spanish. It'll be good to be forced to learn it. I recommend you learn about altitude sickness (prevention and treatment) before heading to Bolivia. Hate to have your trip spoiled...
Brazil Reed - if you go to the carnival in Brazil, you have to be careful - Rio de Janeiro is NOT a safe city or safe area. The exchange student who stayed with us last year was from there and he told us all about it. So do your homework before you go!
Torture On My next trip to the US we were to do some fishing and hunting. Instead I am in Dallas with the Wife and Daughter being tortured in something they call a Mall.. I hope your are having a much better time then I am having. I believe I'll have to chose the lesser evil and spend some time with my idiot buddies in Columbus...

Ive been hanging out ith a bunch of travelers from teh school up until this point but I think starting next week Im going on my own. I have to meet locals and talk spanish all the time if Im ever going to learn it. Keep in touch bro.
Unreal These broads down here are smokin bro. And down to earth to. At least the travelers from brazil. The language barrier is going to be tough with the local girl but what the hell i gotta try. I should have some good stories after teh weekend. Ill let you know. I gotta get away from all these backpackers soon or my spanish is not going anywhere.

I hope this blog gets more interesting - I just fell asleep at work. Also you forgot to mention that it was tough leaving your good buddies in Columbus. Make the most of your adventure - you will have plenty of time to work hard. Looking forward to reading about your trip. Good luck.

Mary I am proud of you and your decision to do this journey. Keep a journal, sounds like a good book to write when you get back. And take pictures, too. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers, Reed. Good luck, have fun and be careful!
Fish I will show you more pictures of fish than you have ever seen in your life. It would be nice if I had my expert guide though. Another time I guess
Fly Fishing down south Way to go Buddy! However! You better buy yourself a pair of those glasses Mr. Magoo wears. Bear in mind Whiting! Your expert guide will not be there spotting fish for you. Fuck Boy! You are not quite the specimen of Billy Lu. But you still a Specimen Bra.
26 years old, Single, and searching for the secret of life. If you know it feel free to give me a call or send me a email to tell me about it. I graduated from Thee one and only Ohio State is 2004 and have lived in Columbus, OH until this Fall. God those years went by way to fast and I took it all for granted. Seems like we all take the present moment for granted and then look back and realize what we missed. Anyways.. I really miss playing competitive hockey, but men's league in Kasson is somewhat filling the void. I had a great life in Ohio. I had two businesses, one doing landscaping... full info
