Hey Piggly Wigglies! Thought it had been quiet in the Frank and Stan department for a while!! Where are you now? When are you coming back to the UK. I've completely lost track of you! Are you guys still enjoying the travels? We are envious! That Imst view is amazing!!
Travel is a bit quiet in the Grundy household while we try to pay off this mortgage, but hoping for Iceland next year and maybe Vietnam.
Everything much the same here!
Hope you're both well.

Hello chaps. How's it going. Great to hear your still racking up the global travel miles. Vietnam looks and sounds quite a place. Jeremy Clarkson and his side kicks from Top Gear travelled the length of Vietnam on scooters and trains. They thought it was one of the best places - apart from the roadside food - too many bugs for their liking I think. Missed you last time you were back so must ensure next time. Enjoy your travels and don't rush back !!!! Laters.
Hey fellow travellers! Vietnam sounding awesome - really interesting - sounds like somewhere we would enjoy. LOL at Andrew in the bookshop - I can picture it now, I bet that was hilarious!! Crossing the road sounds a bit frightening, but hiring the bikes sounds like fun - very up D&Gs street.
We're currently in Utah, Ogden - about an hour from Salt Lake City enjoying Snow Basin and Powder Mountain - had a great days boarding today with fresh snow coming down all day - visibility was zero which makes boarding very interesting since you can't see any undulations in the snow or any bumps, or even where the edge of the piste is, and you have absolutely no sense of what speed you're going either since there is no point of reference! Very odd and very fun!! Pow pow!!! Loving it. Off for some huge American portions of food now!!
Enjoy your trip ... sounds awesome ... where are you off to next?
Look after yourselves both of you. Thanks for the card ... haven't opened it yet ... saving it for the big day!!! Where will you be on your birthday Dave?
Take care!

Still in the throes ... ... of house buying if you can believe it. Still don't have a fixed date for completion! Oh well, what can you do? But my apologies for not saying hello sooner, it's just been so hectic trying to get quotes for all the work that needs to be done on the place once we get that final go ahead.
Saw Nick, Neil and Paul the other night - we had a horror night and watched Final Destination 4 ... I think the 4 stood for 4/10 :o) but we had a giggle about how corny it was. Obviously you boys came up in conversation ... you are missed my lovelies.
Tibet and Nepal just look amazing ... I'm so jealous, it's right up there for us on the list of things to do and these photos just make me want to do it even more. I'm impressed you got to base camp ... couldn't have been an easy hike?
Sorry to hear about all your trials and tribulations ... are things looking up now? Did you make it to Thailand?
Hope you are both doing well and feeling healthy ... have you put the weight back on??? Could you see Poppet when he turned sideways?
Keep up the good blog work ... the boys and Nick were saying that they always read it, even if they don't always reply.
Look after yourselves ... speak soon.

Hi Andrew,
Sorry I've not been in touch for a while, life has changed and I have adapted! I love your blogs and the pictures you have taken are so beautiful! Thank-you for continuing to share these with me. I hope you are well.
Take care

hey guys, this looks fantastic. I'm so looking forward to getting my boots on and getting up to Mount Everest...and Tibet looks great. Need to get booking again!!!
It's all good! It's all good... but the best photo is David riding a Yak! Well done. You seemed to have an unbelievable journey thus far. Where are you off to next? New Jersey right? I think that's what you said your plan was going to entail. Keep me updated as I love the feeling of pretending to be on this amazing journey. Stay safe, stay adventurous! Shari
Back into it ... Hello Boys!
Glad to hear you've settled straight back into the traveling lark - all sounds marvlious! Think I'm most jealous of this one - India and Nepal ... so high up on the to-do list. But! That will have to be back-burned now we're buying a house!
Enjoy the trip and keep the updates coming - love to keep up with the goings on.
Look after yourselves (and each other :o)!
Big hugs GGx
Goa I am so glad that you got to Goa to Goa! Glad that your time there was relaxing, and it evidently prepared you for your adventure to Nepal. Please pray with some monks on mountain tops for me. It is a place I dream of going to some day. Will you be in Bhutan? I forgot if you said that you would or not! Write when you can, and thank you for posting photos and details of your unbelievable journey!! It brings me great joy to see where you've been and where you have yet to go. Shari
OMG!!!!! I WANT A BABY SLOTH!! How cute are those little critters! What a trip eh boys? And now back to the grey UK ... for how long? We flew in yesterday and, as predicted, it was raining. So we started as we mean to go on - wouldn't want to be lulled into a false sense of security with a sunny day now would we!?!
We ran the finances below the bottom line with a trip to Fiji before leaving Oz for good - you'd think our credit cards had been doing yoga, they're that flexible! I know you would approve David!! Now it's back to reality and job hunting!
Hope we get to see you before you hurtle off somewhere else! Love DnG xxx
OMG I'm bursting ... ... with jealousy! Darrell says stop being naughty and making us jealous over Patagonia! It's a must for us, but it needs time as you and Andrew are proving with your trip. We'd like to do the Falklands and Antarctica at the same time you see.
Your trip sounds incredible. I can't wait to hear more about it when we see you in UK. And you camped!
We're off to Tasmania on Saturday ... trek is longer than I thought - 8 days! We have to be flown on a private plane into the middle of nowhere with everything we need on our backs and then hike back into civilisation!! You and Andrew would LOVE it!!! Not!
Anyway ... be out of touch for a while. Can't wait to see you boys and we can share all our travel stories.
Take good care of yourselves and have a safe flight home.
See you in March.

Hello my lovelies What a fabulous read and I cannot believe you will be returning to UK shortly. albeit a whistle stop. It is good to hear you have been able to enjoy the finer things in life including the view on Copacabana beach, apart from the dodgy hotel room in Sao Paulo........
What can I say about the UK. No doubt you have heard that production came to a halt due to the snow. Only in the UK can snow cause such mayhem and how fickle is society when now 4 x 4s are the best invention and a must on the driveway when before the snow they were the devil in disguise...................
I am starting to tackle the dreaded Diploma that has to be taken by 2012 to keep my license, luckily St James's Place have received authorisation to invigilate an internal exam from the FSA leaving me with only one external exam to do. The qualification is at first year degree level and it is similar to learning a new languange. David, you were very shrewd making your money when younger and now in retirement........
You will be pleased to know that we have two holidays planned. One back to the lake district although am toptally shicked over the price hike since last year and Las Vegas for Wayne's 40th. I have a client who works for BA and she has offered me her 'friends and family rates' which is amazing. BA have started flying direct to Vegas, Maldives and Sharm El Sheikh.
Anyway off home now. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you on your brief return, if only for an hour.
Lots of hugs and kisses.

Cholitas- Yay Hello, I'm glad your friend found you both safe and well and you were able to share that part of your journey with him. I have been keeping up to date, I'm sorry for not e-mailing sooner. I am so excited that you saw the Cholitas! It has made me smile today reading your blog, thank-you for sharing your travels.Trev mentioned that he always wanted to see Lake Titicaca so he had a quick look too. I'm off to Paris in November, not quite the same as South America but at least it is out of Portsmouth.
Keep the blogs coming, they are briliant and I love sharing your journey.
