Setting the Woogy Scene .... We were walking to our favorite Organic grocery store on the Upper West Side. It's popular, so we were busy ducking and weaving through far too many obnoxious people. Dave says, (too late), "There's a celebrity!". So I walk back to the corner and blatantly stare at his back as he's crossing the street with his arms around two chicks. Dave didn't know his name, but he's great at remembering faces. As I'm staring, another couple walks by. She shouts, "That's what's-his-name!" and I figure I need a name before I can blog a celebrity sighting. So I crash their conversation and ask if they know who he is. The guys says, "It's Woogy from 'There's Something About Mary'". At that point Woogy turns around before entering an apartment across the street. He was ugly, so I left.
Finally a celebrity worth mentioning !! i always tease my mate adam (you remember him penny ?) that he looks like Woogy. He doesnt take that very well.
Don't buy drugs ... become famous and they give 'em to you for free! KBH, that line was rated as one of the best movie quotes ever. Classic! How good is that movie???
i LOVE that guy! he says something in the movie like. hey kids, dont buy drugs...just become famous and people give them to you for free!' or something- best line in the movie. i LOVE that movie!
Whitsunday Heaven Hey Rosanne! You live in paradise.... and The Hampton's don't compare. Can't wait to come visit you up north when I get home to Oz. P.x
Spelling Like A Yank Gotta conform Sarge. I was ridiculed beyond belief the other day at work when I asked to borrow a 'torch'. Everyone envisaged me running along with a flaming Olympic style bamboo stick. Lesson learnt. Now I only use the work 'flashlight'.
Sand, sand everywhere... "Give me every summer sifting pure white sand through my toes as the sun sets over a rose-flushed horizon and I'll gladly give up my Aussie status."
Hi Pen. Nice post. Curiously, Google tells me that Australia is actually surrounded by those teeny tiny white grains of 'sand' and that they can also tend to congregate at those things you call 'beaches'. Perhaps you missed them while you were here?
organic? mate, go and grab a copy of peter singer's 'the ethics of what we eat' (book).
Its a bloody good read for all things involving food and ethics.

Militant Apartment Style Ha! The framed photos came with the apartment Mark. I think the guy we're renting from has a photographer brother who spent time in Africa. They are phenomenal pics tho, as depressing as the subject matter is.
Congratulations! Ohh Congratulations Penny! Great a real job and sounds like a good one too. I told you the magic was still there, just a little patience is all it took. So how is the new job going for you? Obviously perks as you stated sound pretty good to me. Still going to the writing classes? Dave back yet with his visa? How is he going with the job hunting?
Sounds like you are settling into NYC very nicely. Will catch up soon with an email as I returned from Brisbane on Monday shopped out, and saw P!nk concert Friday night. She was AWESOME!!!!! Email you soon... xoxo
