Right On! Good for you Michelle! No need to put up with that abuse. I am sure this is going to be the start of an even better new experience. Best of luck
Todd
Definately the smartest... person I know. How in the world are you having long conversations in like 4 weeks. "Books, books, books..." Rather, "libros, libros, libros." Like you, I always was amazed at how people could live so near or in (i.e. Toledo) history and not blink an eye. As always, your descriptions are world-class.
Could you be any smarter? I can't tell you how impressed I am that you are having long conversations with people. Brandon and I were talking about the fact that you could be the smartest person we ever met.
I agree with Brandon You really should publish your travel writing. You do a much better job than they do on globetrekker! I'd much rather watch you travel (and it's not just because I love you to pieces). You're the best!!! jilly
3 WISHES? CAR COLOUR?? WONDERFUL...I TOO WANT TO KNOW THE OTHER TWO WISHES....AND ALSO ABOUT THE COLOUR (ENGLISH SPELLING) OF THE AUTOMOBILE...FANTISTIC ALMOST LIKE BEING THERE...MAYBE BETTER CAUSE I WASN'T ABLE TO SEE ANY OF THIS....
3 wishes for Segundo (3 coins in the fountain) Amazing how a quiet little village becomes intriguing under your skillful hands at making magic out of the simple. I do have to ask 'why' about that little car! It can't be a factory paint job can it? Where to next?
So chic! Michelle, keep the entries coming. I think that when you leave for home, I will feel like I'm leaving Spain as well. Sigh. You are looking so euro-fabulous and chic. Glad to see you're rocking the long necklace.
I loved Segovia! It was like I was back under that acquaduct! I can't believe I had forgotten how beautiful Segovia was...Matched, I think only by Toledo.
See you soon, boss.
By the way, I think you need to apply for a job on GlobeTrekker or start writing for Lonely Planet.
Aquaducts, gardens, knights & merry go rounds Wow, Segovia sounds fascinating. I especially like the maze garden. I noticed a Taj Majal depicted on one of the upper panels of the merry-go-round. I know I couldn't do the stairs at Alcazar but am glad you made it so you could share the view with us. It blows my mind that the ancients could build so many huge structures without all our modern equipment! Great pictures and descripions.
segovia wonderful tour...feel llike i was there myself. pictures are fantastic an the description wonderful...see what i missed when i was in spain... maybe i'll jump on a flight and be right over...keep up the great work.
Gazpacho, Birthdays and Shoes The Gazpacho sounds delicioso..you have so many new foods to bring home and share with us all. How sweet of Pedrito to wish you such a nice birthday. I love the new twin shoes; perhaps I can squeeze into them and stretch them for you!!
Le Mesquita What a beautiful place. Woudn't it be great to capture the light from the Mesquita window and put it on canvas?! We can't wait to gleen from your new found inspirations. The pictures are great and everyone looks so happy. Thanks for sharing with us!
cute twin shoes It's easy to become a shoe-a-holic in a place like Spain it seems. Love the shoes and your writing! I am glad you are meeting so many great friends. Happy belated birthday! We will have to have some tinto when you get home :)
SNOW LEOPARD WHAT A GREAT ENDING TO A WONDERFUL ROAD TRIP; TWO PRECIOUS PAINTINGS AND THE CONNECTION PAINTING TOGETHER PROVIDED.
I LOVED THE FORTUNE TELLER TALE AND PROUD THAT YOU STUCK TO YOUR 1LB NOTE. THAT SUNSET FROM THE PEPE CAR IS AWSOME.
PICASSO WONDER HOW PICASSO KNEW SO MUCH ABOUT WOMANHOOD AND THE CONTORTIONS WOMEN MAKE? VERY INTERESTING JOURNAL. I HAD NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHAT HE WAS SAYING ABOUT WOMEN BEFORE. NOW I AM ANXIOUS TO STUDY HIS WORKS A LITTLE MORE.
LOVED YOUR 'TORTILLA' STORY..WHAT A WAY TO TRY ALL THE TAPAS!!
YOU'VE GOT TO MAKE SOME FOR US WHEN YOU COME BACK!!
You're the best! I just wanted to thank you again for writing so much about your trip. It is great to see the pictures and read your wonderful descriptions. What a great way to keep a travel journal. You are giving me the itch to travel! Good thing Globe treker is on tonight:)
NO BUNNIES AND COLORED EGGS? WHAT A GREAT ROAD TRIP FOR NEW AMIGAS. I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE MESQUITA WINDOW WITH LIGHT COMING THROUGH. THE PATIOS FULL OF FLOWERS SOUND LOVELY TOO. EAGERLY AWAITING YOUR NEXT JOURNAL ENTRY!
BEAUTIFUL PICTURES I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE KEY TO THE CITY PICTURE AND THE TRAIN STATION JUNGLE. THE VIEW OF THE RIVER WINDING THROUGH TOWN IS A GREAT SHOT TOO. ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE NEXT ENTRY!
Seriously... Didja ever think of becoming a writer? I really think you might have a talent for it. Oliver Sacks watch out. Its The Traveling MUDPHUD. Oooo...there ya go: The MUDPHUD Guide to (insert country here). Naturally, few people would know what MUDPHUD means and that is part of the charm. I am really enjoying this artistic side of you. It is really cool watching you explore your inherent talents. Maybe a painting/sketch of a flameco dancer for your computer travel vouyers?
FEEL AND SEE THROUGH YOUR WORDS WHAT A GIFT YOU HAVE WITH WORDS; YOU TRANSPORT THOSE OF US AT HOME TO WONDERFUL EXPERIENCES WITH YOUR GIFT OF WORDS AND PUTTING THEM TOGETHER SO COLORFULLY. I FEEL THE MOOD OF THE FLAMENCO AND HEAR THE BEAT! CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE.
Buffy the Vivid World Traveller Loooooove reading about your adventures! I'm so glad to hear you are having a faboo time and getting so many amazing life experiences. Sounds like you are having the time of your life in Spain and I'm so jealous that I can't be there to drink a glass of wine with you! Lookin' forward to the next edition of The Chronicles of Buffy. ;)
I'm killing a few months between grad school and med school. I'm staying with a family in Madrid, teaching them English in exchange for room and board. Good deal, eh?... full info
