Funny that's pretty funny on the Iowa location!! LOL aren't the falls a fun place we have been there many times we went to the corn place and seen a Red Skeleton performance , he was so good. Glad you are enjoying SD so much just get out before the snow storms hit :)

Mount Rushmore we have been there a couple times and were always pleased with it not sure what the fee was??? there was a trail back behind one of the buildings you could hike that took you up closer to the heads.
wow! that storm sounded like serious business, glad you made it to the shelter to wait it out. and the donkeys :) reminds me of Bonaire, donkeys are protected there and roam free all over the island. so cool!

Welcome to my 2022 Road Trip travel blog! I have been preparing many months for a solo road trip around the US. Phase one is from Portland, OR to Portland, ME. Phase two will be from the Northeast down to Florida to meet my husband on his last stretch of his bike ride trip. Phase three will be very unpredictable.
