So glad you made it to both Iceland and road-tripped through the Canadian Rockies -- a stunning sight for readers' eyes and it must have been even more wondrous physically there. Really enjoying the new blogs and photos -- and my, how the boys have grown! ;)
Good to see you back! I'm glad you are writing again and OMG your kids are so big! I've been wanting to go to Iceland for ages and your blog made it look really easy... good place to go with children. Looking forward to more blogs!
:) Thanks. Yup, getting really big now. I'm amazed at how quickly they're shooting up. Trying to move them when they're asleep now is back breaking!!! :-D
Iceland Wow. Not just for your stunning pics of rolls in ice and snow and thermal pools but haven't Nat & Gabe grown. We saw you guys in KL for TB's 10th B'day in 2012 but hey...haven't they grown! You guys look great so keep humming.
Great reading! Loved reading this... can't believe how big the boys have got! We'd love to go here one day and you've only inspired us more! Glad you're all great & had a brilliant time x
:) This was actually a year ago... Now they're even bigger.. >Eeeeek<
I'm so far behind with my blogging, but I'm determined to get the next one done, then hopefully fill in some gaps. :)
Amazing photos! Isn't it curious revisiting a place and find it now crowded, rundown or expensive, when before it was an idyll? I've always wanted to visit Borobodor and Ubud, but I guess I'm about a decade to late for the laid-back, $1/night little huts with delivered breakfast. How great you visited long ago! Still, your Yogyakarta Christmas sounded sweet. As usual, love your photos!
Inspiring Real nice to see people fulfilling their dreams and traveling the globe. It is a real inspiration to me when planning my first trip around the world. I feel there is much to read and learn and I hope I will embark on my journey 2 years from now :)
Camera? I've long been a fan of your fabulous photos and fun, informative blogs. My camera was just nicked in La Paz, Bolivia, and I'm trying to decide on a new one. Could you tell me what camera you use--your photos are so striking! And glad you weren't exactly caught in the hurricane, but had a fine tale out of it. Thanks, Tara
:) Hi,
I use a rather old Canon 450D. what gives the photos that 'look' is a post processing technique called HDR. Ther is software available to do this although now I think some modern cameras can actually do it on camera, my phone actually has a HDR function although how 'real' that is I don't know...
Happy snapping...

So... It's been six years since we got back from our big family travels. A lot can happen in six years and the kids are growing at a pace that's completely overwhelming.
We have 'settled' back into life in the UK, which for all its problems is an amazing country and we love it here. We've got back on track with our careers and the kids are progressing well with their schooling.
As for travel, thankfully we still haven't stopped. Over the last few years we've been to a few more places in Europe, spent many weeks in Thailand and Malaysia, celebrated our 10 yea... full info
