Day 7 After the 15 hour sleeper-train journey, which, with lots of red wine, rice wine and brandy, and a fairly sound nights sleep, was not as bad as we had feared, we arrived in Shanghai. Our hotel was just off Nanjing Road (the main shopping street in central Shanghai) and the weather here was warm and dry but overcast. We freshened up, had another fantastic group lunch and in the afternoon took a walk down Nanjing Road and spent a couple of hours in Shanghai Museum. In the evening we saw our second acrobatics show of the trip, which was a big improvement on the first. There was about seven acts, including 10 girls riding a single bike, plate juggling and a ball of death with 5 motorbikes bombing round it at the same time.
