Hello from Mark & Anita Wow, it all looks wonderful! Really enjoying your travelogue. I think any misgivings about the lenght of the trip Mark will be entirely forgotten and you will wish you could spend more time down under! I'm off tomorrow for 5 days skiing (poor Mark is now working full time!) in Meribel. Hoping for some snow in good condition and to return in one piece!
Do hope you continue to make the most of your packed itinerary (all the hard work putting it all together turned out to be well worth it!)

Loving your blog As we did our New Zealand trip a few years ago, I love reading your blog and following along. I forgot about Arrowtown, where Nicki and I hiked while Alf was golfing ... can't remember where we lost Jon!! We had better luck at Franz Josef so ... thankful for that. Hope Christchurch is pulling itself out of disaster. We didn't visit there as it was just a few months after the first earthquake and people were barely coping themselves without us barging in on them. By now they will be grateful for any tourist dollars to help them get back on their feet.
You mentioned that Mark was from Durban. Not sure that I knew that was his roots. Just because ..... did he happen to know Ian Baron when he was growing up. I know, big city and all but maybe they were neighbours. Ian's wife was also from Durban, Sue. They would be the same age as Mark.
Safe travels and keep posting. I'm loving the trip down memory lane.

'Behind the clouds the sun is shining'! ....... & here's hoping that it breaks out for you in the morning. Yes very worrying and scary that the glacier is retreating at such a rate!
Sounds like you totally maximised your fun times in Queensland, as you can imagine it was one of Andrews favourite places.
Wishing you a good safe journey across Authurs pass tomorrow and send ing lots of love, Sue and Tom xxxx
Wish we were there too! Isn't it just great fun!! With such spectacular scenery thrown in, you almost have to make deliberate breaks just to take it all in?

Singapore Hi both. Glad you arrived safely and are getting into the swing of it. Have a great time. Let us know any good places to visit or any tips for when we arrive in 12 days ?
Love Di and Howard xx
A long-awaited journey that will take us first to Singapore before spending a few nights with friends in the Blue Mountains behind Sydney Australia. Then to New Zealand for 4 weeks of adventures, back to Australia for another month which will be split between seeing friends and exploring on our own. And finally a week in Thailand on the way home, mainly on Koh Samui with the last two days in Bangkok. Please read on to follow our travels!... full info
